Just a wonderful accommodation experience! Leonardo made our vacation unforgettable. He seems to be the complete personification of Italy with his hospitality and joy. We stayed a few days longer in Florence because it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is in the center, walking distance to all the sights, yet on a very quiet street. After midnight there is no one there at all. There are plenty of places with delicious food nearby, and the breakfast at the hotel is quite hearty and fresh. The hotel itself is small, I think it's 10 rooms? I'm not sure. The floor is quiet and the rooms are comfortable. There are even nice slippers (in 2025 I see less and less of them in hotels). Soundproofing is good, new air conditioners, great windows with shutters (you can completely block the light and sleep), comfortable beds with good mattresses. We managed to stay in two rooms, both were comfortable and very conveniently organized. You can see the staff's care for the hotel and the people.

We've stayed in a two bedroom apartment. Very comfortable, luxury amenities and extremely clean. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options provided. There is an excellent restaurant on site as well where we've had dinner one night. The surroundings are wonderful and impeccably maintained as well as the pool area. We had an amazing stay! Thank you

Gorgeous vintage furnishings, an enormous traditional and beautiful bathroom. The restaurant was lovely, overlooking the stunning Tuscan hills. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Thank you to the kind and caring reception and restaurant staff. Food was delicious. A fairytale 'dinner in the vines' was so much fun, amazing food and wine and wonderful entertainment. Thank you La Palagina team, special mention to Mattia. Sad to leave but can't wait to return some day soon 🌻💗

    We loved so much the room we booked! They call “Signoria” and have an amazing view of the Duomo Cathedral!!! Astonishing view! We had a lovely reception by the time of La Terraza, giving us a bottle of champagne and chocolates celebrating our one year anniversary!!! We appreciated so much this lovely gesture!!! All the staff was amazing, but Carol was unbelievable lovely with us! We’ll never forget all her kindness, especially with our breakfast! So tasting! The hotel has an excellent location and it’s worth staying there! We’ll definitely come back!!!

    Very hospitable host, helped me to move in after 11 pm and gave a detailed instruction on the operation of the nearest transport and bus schedule. Offered a bottle of cold water for free cause it was very hot outside. The room was clean and comfy, very convenient for a couple of nights of stay. When I was moving out in the middle of the night, the host offered me help with getting to the station and gave a very kind-hearted goodbye. Spasibo!

    Florence is truly wonderful and there are so many places to visit and things to see and do. Everything is within a 20 minute walk of wherever you are. The queues are very long and even with Skip the Queue tickets there are wait periods of over an hour. The Uffizi Gsllery wait was exceptionally long There are wonderful places to eat and to cater to all tastes and budgets, local wild boar dishes and Pastacherias are very yummy I. Wonderful views of the city from Plaza Michelangelo.

    Florence has impressive sites, but even though we arrived in September, the city was very crowded and in some places it was difficult to move comfortably. We waited almost an hour to enter the Duomo and perhaps we could have used the time better.

    Amazing property - exceeds expectations in every way. The staff, the scenery, the luxe and comfy room decor, the lovely upgrade, and all the wonderful wine and food on property and in nearby Montefioralle and Greve. SO worth the trip. I wish we were here in the warmer months to make use of that beautiful pool with the to-die-for view!!!

    The place I stayed was great, the owner was so sweet that she was willing to give me a ride to the train station by my departure. The breakfasts that she made was very delicious and at the time I needed (for Tuscany tour i needed to leave at 6:30am instead of regular breakfast at 7:30am) she prepared it for me. Only some minus I would give to a distance from the train station to the property. But from other hand it was a good exercise:)

    San Casciano is remote in the beautiful Tuscan Hills, although just 40 minutes slow drive to Florence The hotel is 7 minutes outside the town, so walking is difficult. Need a car to go anywhere. Taxis are not available. This hotel is pretty good, but the much-acclaimed restaurant is, at best, just above average and pricey. Claims to be "special" but isn't! Terrace dining is romantic but watch the wasps in the daytime and mosquitos in the evening. Swmming pool fairly small and crowded. Grounds are pristine and lots of lovely bougainvillea. Reception staff smile a lot. Huge carpark!

    Figline is an excellent small Italian town with classic piazza and narrow streets. It has excellent cafes and bars, with a range of cuisines and prices in the local restaurants. Everyone we met were friendly, and it was great to eat and drink in the piazza. Train station gives access to Florence, Arezzo and many other towns, and further afield to Pisa and Rome.

    Fiesole has many sites to explore with its fantastic amphitheatre, monastery and cathedral. It has some excellent restaurants and local shops. We loved the Snooty Fox with its delicious authentic Italian food, Terrazza with its roof terrace with amazing views over Florence, Pizzeria Buca delle Fate, Ristorante BISTROT AL 5. Anyone who likes hiking in between city visits, will find some beautiful nature walks.

The owner, Alex, could t have done more to make sure we were comfortable in our stay and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He was really friendly, great with our kids and made us feel like we were at home. The rooms were so well decorated, the beds comfy and Alex had great recommendations for exploring the area nearby. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back in an instant.

    I've been to Florence before and it is amazing if you love...

    I've been to Florence before and it is amazing if you love history and art as I do. The problem is that everyone knows about it and the streets of the historic center are packed with tourists and getting into sights can mean a long wait and crowded venues. It's worth coming but pack your patience, too.
