From the moment I arrived at Talen Resort Vythiri Villas, I felt welcomed. The ambiance is outstanding — lush green surroundings, serene views, and an atmosphere that helps you unwind instantly. The hospitality is top notch. Every staff member we met was attentive, polite, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay memorable. Our villa was well-appointed: clean, comfortable, with all the essentials, and maintained to a high standard. Food quality was excellent, with good variety and nice presentation. Dining felt relaxed yet refined. The overall vibe of the resort strikes a balance between luxury and nature — you feel pampered without losing the peacefulness that makes this place special. If you’re looking for a resort where you can relax, recharge, and enjoy nature without compromising comfort, this is it. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend Talen Resort Vythiri Villas to anyone traveling to Wayanad.

It was a great stay at Oshin hotel,Wayanad. The staff team is very helpful and supportive. Mr. Vivek, Mr. Libaas, Mr abhinandan, at the reception were a great help. Their code of conduct was superb. A lot to learn from their behaviour and smile. Mr. Vyshak from the room service was prompt in response and made service look very smooth with great comfort. Mr. Amal from the restaurant was a great help as he could arrange the strong masala tea and eggless muffins bas per our request very quickly. Overall a nice experience and one must opt for this hotel once in Wayanad.

    Tranquil by name. Tranquil by nature. A stunning property with mixed use of natural forest, (robusta) coffee bushes, areca nut and coconut trees and other wild vegetation. Peaceful walks throughout the property are clearly marked (except the Indiana Jones route!), which is the best way to experience this place. We stayed in the exceptionally well appointed Tree House room, so had a superb view from a lofty height of the plantation. We also enjoyed the occasional visit from a troupe of playful monkeys that consider Tree House’s verandah their play pen! Swamy and his team looked after us ever so well and if it’s your thing, we can highly recommend the Ayurvedic massage.

    It is an excellent resort with great amenities. Good for families. Came with kids and they thoroughly enjoyed being here. The staff, hotel manger, General manager were very hospitable. Always available to do whatever needed. The rooms were very comfortable. Met the chef who prepared awesome food which was so good that the children loved it. Always recommend this place for families with kids.

    It's being an hour and half drive from Mysore, it is one of the nearest and nice small town. We enjoyed the forest drive( though we could not sight any wild animals) but the overall drive was very nice and cool.

    Nothing much here in Wayanad.

    Nothing much here in Wayanad. The Pookode lake is utter nonsense. It's a small lake and not worth watching if you have been to Ooty/Kodai/Munnar. The Chembra peak trekking activity is very disappointing. The trekking starts very early, before 7:30AM in the morning. And the won't allow after that. It's difficult to reach on time as the place is around 23 KM from Kalpetta. The Edakkal caves again is a complete loot. They first collect the parking charges 2 to 3 KMs ahead of, and we had to wait here for 30 mins. Then the parking itself will take another 10 mins as there are several different places of parking, which you need to find out. From there you need to walk a very very steep uphill for 1.5 KMs from the parking slot towards the caves, where you will have to wait another 2 times in between. I had to wait for 15 mins at the front gate, and then after waling for 750 mtrs. at another place where they made us to wait for issuing the tickets. Even for issuing the tickets you need to wait for in a queue for getting a token. We waited here for 35 minutes and the queue didn't move an inch. They won't inform you about all these in the down hill or at the first entrance where they issue parking tickets but make you walk uphill for 750 mtrs. where you will realize the reality. We had to return back from here after frustration, without watching the cave. We reached here at 11:15AM, waited till 1:23PM and left empty handed with disappointment. They don't accept UPI but only cash, something fishy here... may be a scam.

    It's a nice place for max 3 days trip.

    It's a nice place for max 3 days trip. It was not so cold as expected. You can go out with out winter clothes in December month. There are many adventures activities available here. Kids and young people will definitely enjoy this place. Banasura Dam was my favourite place.

    This resort is situated in front of chembra peak mountains, which is its main attraction. This place is so serene and peaceful. Room and overall resort is well maintained and clean. Food is very tasty and prices are quite reasonable. I have spent a lot of time sitting in the balcony and enjoying the beauty of the misty mountains. All the staffs are very helpful and friendly and they took good care of us. I didnt face any challenge during my stay. This resort is one of the best place to stay in wayanad and enjoy the nature

    Property is beautiful and very well maintained.

    Property is beautiful and very well maintained. Rooms are neat clean and big for families to stay comfortably. Bathroom are big. Having a kind of deck outside every room to sit and relax, have morning and evening tea with a spectacular view is just too good. The staff is very very helpful and pleasing. Always smiling and happy to help. Binoy the Manager and Shaad assistant were always there to answer all queries. Quick shopping can be done in the nearby marketplace but with no vehicle of your own becomes a challenge as the vehicle hiring cost is high. The drawback was that if you are looking for fast service or want to pickup snacks drinks etc then it’s not available in the property. That was a bit of a put off on the night we arrived. Some ready made snacks even from the menu not available on request. That takes away from experience of holidaying. Could be a challenge for families with small kids.

    You cant find a Pure vegetarian hotels near by with affordable rates. Even the tea shops have non vegetarian snacks which was annoying to us. For the people who are not used to eat the big Kerala rice should plan to take electric rice cooker along with them for the trips

    We visited a number of places in four days, the most interesting of which were Edakkal Caves and Soochipara falls. Both beautiful places but be warned: Both require some energetic climbing. We also saw Banasura Dam and went through the Bandipur Tiger Resort and Muthanga Wild Life Park as well as the Mudhumalai Elephant camp as well as a couple of other waterfalls and lakes. Saw loots of elephants including full herds and families and hundreds of deer, some even crossing the road just in front of us but, unfortunately, no tigers.

    Good place to visit but not in summer holidays. Most places are shut down due to summer or other reasons. Some places like water falls are risky as there are no proper safeguard measures for tourists. Stay near the Bus Stand to go to important sight seeing spots.

    The location of this property is outstanding, providing a perfect setting to enjoy the natural surroundings. However, I would not recommend the Hideaway Chalet with Valley View at its current price, as the property needs to address issues with room cleanliness, safety, soundproofing, and proper blackout features.
