Galway is a beautiful city with lots of Irish charm.
Galway is a beautiful city with lots of Irish charm. We really enjoyed wandering the streets and shopping, and walking along the water towards Salthill. We loved Dough Bros pizza and Ard Bia at Nimmos for great food. Coffeewerk + Press makes a great coffee and worth a visit. Claddagh and Celtic Jewellery Company as well as Thomas Dillon had the nicest staff and the best claddagh jewellery.Guest review byMaryCanada - 10.0

The town is wonderful, a very good size, lots of shops and things to do. The music in some of the pubs in town is great too. I drove out to Croagh Patrick which is stunning. Lots of beautiful scenery and beaches within a short distanceGuest review byBarnes - 10.0

Athlone, for its size has some amazing restaurants and plenty of very good pubs. Good shopping options also. Centre is quite small so very walkable. Plus it’s right on the Shannon. Plenty to see and do. Well worth a visit.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
This is just the loveliest place to visit and stay a while.
This is just the loveliest place to visit and stay a while. The tourist office will guide you to great things to do! Guys on the Main Street is a good choice for eating. There are many restaurants to choice from. It’s easy to walk around the town and window shop. And if you can visit whilst the arts festival is on, that’s even better! You’ll want to return…Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Beautiful setting, excellent facilities and great ambiance.
Beautiful setting, excellent facilities and great ambiance. Stayed with my parents and had a very relaxing time. Beds were very comfortable and the en suite facilities were great. Would to bring my grand kids and dog next time. Would definitely stay again.Guest review byJospephUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The National Museum of Ireland is just a few minutes drive away. Castlebar is ideally located for exploring County Mayo. The local library is excellent too with very friendly helpful staff who were only too willing to help with a little family history enquiry. We only stayed for one night and had our main meal in Lana, an Asian restaurant. The food was lovely and plentiful. So much so, we didn't bother with breakfast the following day.Guest review byGeorgeUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Ballina is like most towns or cities now.
Ballina is like most towns or cities now. Outside influences are starting to take hold. The addition of some of the fast food shops and multiple barbers is a manifestation I find worrying. The old charm of the town is not what it was.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Cleanliness in the room is first class.
Cleanliness in the room is first class. Furnitures are shiny and spotless up to the highest standard. Staffs were professional and welcoming. Friendly and very happy to help. From the moment we arrived in the hotel, the accommodation delivered on every promise of comfort and luxury. When we entered our room, the smell was lovely and refreshing, the bed looks so beautiful and comfy, room very clean and presented nicely and bathroom very clean and shiny. A special thank you to the staff Trixie and Jackie for making our stay so memorableGuest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Roscommon has several diverse pubs and restaurants.
Roscommon has several diverse pubs and restaurants. Breakfast tends to open at 09:00 and service ends about 21:00. Pubs stay open till 23:00 or so weekdays and 01:00 on weekends. The circle K is 24 hours. Some pizza places stay open and serve till 23:30. It has several men's and women's clothing shops. Pharmacies and gift shops. Other dry goods and a Supervalue and Tesco. It is a very walkable town and both the Castle and Old Abbey are a few walking minutes from downtown. We ate at the Cozy Cafe( closed Sundays), The Rogue Cafe and The Pantry for breakfast. All were very pleasant. We liked Ryan's Bar. Quietish and Michael was a great host/barman. We had dinner at Regans, Jackson's and China King. ~€100 for three adults with wine. We really enjoyed the walkable nature of the town. Especially, coming back to Tatlers Guesthouse after spending time at the pubs.Guest review byMatthewUnited States
