Very new and well maintained property, rooms and territory are kept very clean, lovely atmosphere. The towels and linens are soft and nicely aromatised. We had a lovely time at Maskot. We stayed a total of 4 nights. The rooms are quite fresh and really well kept. Be aware the are not fully “sealed” so if you are afraid of the chance of getting small bugs in this is not your place. However, we just got the usual mosquito here and there but the is also a mosquito net around the bed. The bathroom is semi-outside. It’s great for ventilation and it’s also really fresh believe or not! There is a transparent roof so it is okay if it rains as well. The location is quite good too if you want to rent a scooter and explore the island because it is sort of in the middle. We could also rent a scoopy for 100k a day. There is a restaurant next door if you don’t feel like going for a drive to get food, but we didn’t try it so we can’t say if it’s good or bad. There is also a little shop just in front of Maskot where you can buy water, sunscreen, some snacks… The hosts were super nice and paid attention you our needs. They have a really convenient laundry service as well, done in the same day because they use the sun to dry the clothes. They cooked a simple breakfast for us every morning and also gave us some advice on where to go. Finally, they helped us book the ferry ticket and taxi to leave the island. Really nice stay in Maskot:)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful stay at The Alana Penida Hotel! The space is clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and we had great nights of sleep. Breakfast was tasty, with a good variety of options. It’s well located, just a short ride from the town center. They also rent scooters for 75/100/150k IDR with helmets, which was super convenient. Ideal for a short 2–3 night stay to explore the island.

This is a very peaceful, tranquil place with a huge pool and only 4 joglos so it never gets busy. The restaurant only serves breakfast but there is a great warung next door (Cookie's) which serves breakfast lunch and dinner, plus you are only a 10 minute walk from about 20 more restaurants, including the famous Sandy Bay Beach Club. The room was spotless, and very comfortable, and the polished dark wood interior has a real luxury feel. We stayed for 2 nights and the owner Wayan and his wife Dyah made us feel really welcome and totally at home.

We even spotted some turtles! Amenities in the resort were great, the restaurant was second to none with delicious food, the staff was friendly and provided a great service! We had a wonderful time during our stay! Highly recommended! (One of the best breakfasts We've ever had)

    Nice and quiet hotel, with nice bungalows, ours were in two tiers so the kids could sleep upstairs Really beautiful area. Really friendly staff. If you want to go to the local beach, Crystal Bay They provide a shuttle from the hotel included in the stay. Highly recommend. If you want to go scuba diving, Reflex divers are rigt outside the hotel, and they are an excellent dive center.

    Unfortunately , NP seems to have far too many visitors for...

    Unfortunately , NP seems to have far too many visitors for what the road infrastructure can handle . The roads to all the local sightseeing hotspots are not wide enough for oncoming vehicle to pass each other without driving on the shoulder of the road ( if it exists ) and constantly causing further damage ,. The roads surfaced are very badly broken a terribly pot- holed . Vehicle journeys to the popular destinations take an inordinately long time with traffic banked up while cars try to pass each other when they can . On the plus ; the restaurants and beach clubs and bars serve excellent food and live music nightly was easy to find . And entertaining . The coastline scenery is fantastic . Itis why so many people make trip . The fast ferry services from Sanur to NP are very good and only 30 minutes .

    Love at first sight ten years ago.

    Love at first sight ten years ago. Far away from all huzzle and buzz of Southern Bali, Kuta/ Seminyak, Denpasar-areas that were surprisingly flooded this very time. so we were away from rain and catastrophies, happily exploring the new roads, watching Saraswati processions, eating us through the islands many warungs and resturants. Really cosy and fun stay, Dream bech is a must-do!

    The hotel is remote with one restaurant to provide all your meals there or in the room . No shops etc. You need a driver to take you to any temples etc. We couldn’t to any treking activity during our time as it was rainy. Nice to just chill. Lovely staff very helpful at reception and restaurant. Lovely views

    Becoming worse every visit! Congested and too many dogs, not controlled (rebirth)! Actually east side quieter and becomes better going to eastward on coastal road! Many tourists never even reach/travel that far! Less traffic , more nature, more traditional, but changing every day!!

    The most delightful accomodation. Local family run single room villas built in a quiet location with close mini mart in 5 minute walk. 20min taxi ride to Ubud for hustle and bustle of more western orientated restaurants markets etc.

    friendly, charming, plenty to see, however seeing so much rubbish / trash lying about took away some of the 'shine'. Possibly the establishment of an organisation ?volunteer or ?commercial to recycle plastics (bottles) could certainly assist in recycling some of the plastics. There was one eating establishment which was doing it's very best to get the message across about limiting / recycling plastics!

    We explored the Royal Palace and grounds. Quite interesting history of both important battles but also process of producing food. We also bought excellent gifts at nearby clothing stores. Heard about other activities but didn't have longer than a couple of hours.
