I had a great stay there. Everything was clean and new. The room is quite spacious, and I think I was bumped to a seaview room on the second day. I would say mountain view and sea view rooms are both amazing. Special thanks to Petros at the reception who is very very friendly and helped me a lot. Breakfast was also great, with a lot to choose from and freshely made omelets as well.

We liked the location of the apartments, affordable dishes at the restaurant that is part of Chryssa Studios. We were amazed by the hygiene of apartment and every little detail of it. The owner was really nice and kind, the room was cleaned every day and the towels were also changed every 2 days and we really appreciate it. We highly recommend this apartments and we would gladly come back again someday! 10/10❤️

The breakfast’s amazing with a wide range of pastries, fruits, yogurts, etc. The hotel itself is stunning - probably the prettiest hotel pool I’ve seen and it’s truly a place for you to fully relax. The staff are beyond friendly here, Amelia was very professional, friendly and helpful during my stay - she welcomed me with a big bright smile, explained all the facilities in the hotel, and helped me arrange taxis and the floating breakfast with such good care. All the staff are amazing, they remember small details about your preference during your stay and are always there when you need help. I could feel that I was truly being taken good care of. I wish I could stay here for a few more days so I will definitely come back next year for Olea.

Exciting Holidays for Everyone

Surrounded by clear blue waters, Zakynthos (or Zante) is the 3rd largest island in the Ionian Sea, named after the son of Dardanus. This green island features mountain villages, fertile plains and gorgeous beaches.

Zakynthos was destroyed after the Great Earthquake of 1953 and rebuilt according to an anti-seismic code. Some of the buildings which were not damaged are St. Dionysios Cathedral, the National Bank and the church of St. Nicholas.

The island has one of the most famous Greek attractions - the spectacular Navagio Beach. Accessible only by boat, the 'Shipwreck' is an isolated beach with white pebbles and turquoise waters.

Set amongst olive groves and vineyards, the tourist resort of Tsilivi is full of traditional taverns and bars. The beach village of Laganas is a real gem for young people that love clubbing and are looking for a hotel on the Strip, but also for families seeking a shallow beach and warm waters.     Gloria Maris probably or most definitely has the best location on the island. I can guarantee you will experience the best most relaxing vacation in this hotel. Embedded into the landscape it serves you with an incredible view to the south (sunrise) and you can see the turtle island right up front. 🏝️ 🐢 We were in one of the private suites with a private (shared area) swimming pool for suite guests, which is an incredible infinity pool. The staff is so lovely and welcoming especially Jay (Most viby Bartender), Fanny (hope i spelled the name right haha) and Alex. You will find them down at the bar during the day next to the water. Speaking of water. The hotel has an exclusive access to the sea with wide and shallow water. Great for swimming and snorkeling! The food and drinks are super delicious.     The hotel's location is excellent, quiet and convenient, with lots of greenery around it. Parking your vehicle is very easy. The staff is very polite and helpful. The room was modern, spacious and had a great view from its' balcony. The bathroom was spotless and fully equipped. The pool area and the pool itself are very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was served in a beautiful and spacious room, it had a lot of choices and every day something new was added. Overall, we were completely satisfied with the hotel, we highly recommend it and would definitely choose it again for our next trip to Zakynthos.

    Cleanliness, daily cleanup and change of towels, varied breakfast, friendly staff. Astonishing location of the hotel and great view during breakfast. As a bonus: the hotel provides beach towels and umbrella, also you can leave your luggage at the reception and use a shower in case of a flight in the evening. A slight problem with our A/C (leaking) was resolved rapidly.

    A lovely town - definitely tourist central (main source of income) but there is so much more than "downtown" madness lol - Take a long walk to Turtle Island (go early to get your spot on the small beach, entrance fee of around Euro6). Hike the side roads admiring the olive trees and farm animals. Rent a quad or car and explore further afield. Tour pickups are readily available. The food, coffee and drinks are delicious and within reason depending on what you care to spend - LOVED the icecream cafe close to the beach and there is a delightful European Bakery to enjoy fresh cream or chocolate yummies. Almost everyone is friendly - like everywhere, if you smile and 'ask" courteously, in return you will receive a positive response! A week is a good stop - 10days if you are wanting to spend more time lounging on the northern beaches. A worthwhile happy stop :)

    If you like to be in the center of the action (restaurants, bars, night life), Tsilivi is a good spot. If you are searching for something more relaxed, i advise to search for other locations in the island. Tsilivi is probably the best basis to visit all the rest of the island, very centered, but we were looking for a more relaxed and less"touristic" area.

    An abundance of Restaurants of many denominations, plus plenty of themed bars for drinks, all within walking distance, just perfect!!! The whole place is relaxed, happy, and just such a good place to be, a perfect location to unwind and enjoy after a few months hard slog at home. Or, a great location to hit the bars and live the high life, your choice, a fantastic location for singles, couples, groups and families alike, Kalamaki has just about everything, for everyone, and everyone is just so friendly; what a place to live, never mind just holiday!!!

    Argasi is a small town with lots to offer.

    Argasi is a small town with lots to offer. There is a good mix of bars & nightclubs, but not too lively. Great restaurants the length of the town & all within walking distance, except the one on the hill, but they will collect & return you from your hotel for free. Great beach bars just off the main road, so look out for signs to Remezzo (our favourite) etc on the waterfront. Plenty of places to shop around for car/quad hire & trips around the island, on land & sea. A fun train runs into Zante town every day from opposite Legends bar (€8 return) Just the most wonderful people & easy for us to return yearly.

    Alikanas is lovely with the mountain backdrop and the clear waters when there’s no wind. What I miss was a sidewalk. It’s difficult to go for a walk as there’s no sidewalk and on the beach there’s no continuous access.

    We were returning visitors and much has changed in the six years between visits, there are many more new buildings and hotels and there seems to be a load of car hire places that didn’t exist before. Currently it is still very peaceful and quiet which might not suit everyone (particularly families?) but as someone in their mid fifties I loved the fact there was 3 shops, and 3 restaurants within I 5 minute walk from our base I didn’t need anything else but thrill seekers might be a little bored.

    Calm and very nice area.

    Calm and very nice area. Close to the sea, perfect for relaxation, away from the crowds. The only thing i do not like, but this is not related to this specific area, are the roads. The roads can be very bad, and if you navigate using google maps or waze, you'll definitely end up on narrow roads.

    You are surround by olive groves - and if wanted - it's just a short drive in several directions to some beautiful small beaches where the water is beautifully warm - and certainly not overcrowded. Heaven!!!! Well worth hiring a car for the duration of the stay.
