    We spent an unforgettable week on the island of Paxos at Villa Avgerini, and it truly felt like a slice of paradise—just as magical as the setting of Maestro in Blue on Netflix. The villa is perfectly situated, just a scenic 10-minute walk along the sea to the charming town of Gaios. Our two-bedroom apartment on the second floor was spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea. We loved waking up to the sight of yachts and sailboats drifting peacefully in the distance—it was incredibly serene. The property features a gorgeous infinity pool where we cooled off daily, and just a few steps below is a small beach for those moments when we wanted to dip into the sea. Everything about the villa, from the comfort to the location, exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to Eva, our host, who made us feel completely at home. She went above and beyond—arranging transportation, offering spot-on restaurant recommendations, and sharing tips about the best places to explore on the island. She's not just a wonderful host, but a genuinely warm and thoughtful person. Thank you for everything, Eva. We hope to return one day and relive this beautiful experience.

    We got stuck in paxos by chance because our ferry got canceled and by the end of it we were so glad we did! This island is a paradise and the stay at anassa was incredible. The manager George was the kindest most attentive person! Offering to take us to the port to buy ferry tickets and drive us into town if needed. Everyone was so kind the stay was just what we needed and they have their own private beach which is nice. It’s also super close to town and the aeolus beach bar which was great place to be during the day

    It’s a tiny village not far from the main town on the island. There is a public bus service between the two. Lakka has plenty of cafés, bakeries, minimarkets, restaurants, and small shops. The town is a perfect spot for explorers who are looking for adventure, beautiful beaches, and safety all at once.

    Longos is stunning - we preferred it over Lakka and Gaios for how peaceful but pretty it was. It has enough tavernas without any tacky tourist tat shops or 'english breakfast' type pubs, and the seafood we had was reasonably priced and delicious in each taverna. There are great beaches very close by (walkable). Great for a couple or those looking for a relaxing stay.

    Gaios is a charming and intimate little town that truly has everything – stunning scenery, turquoise and blue beaches, lush green hills, and plenty of restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets. Everyone can find their own special spot here. Although small, Gaios offers plenty to do both inside and outside the town, making it a perfect base for exploring the whole island. You can go on hiking trips around Paxos, as the island is full of great trails, rent bicycles to explore every corner, or even rent a boat to go sailing by yourself or with a group, depending on your preference. For those staying in apartments, there are supermarkets with everything you need for cooking at home. The trip from Corfu to Paxos by ferry is quick and simple, and once you arrive, you can easily reach Gaios on foot (as we did) or by taxi until 11 PM for about €10. The island is truly dreamy, with kind and welcoming people everywhere. We felt that 4 days and 3 nights were exactly the right amount of time to explore the island, relax, enjoy delicious food, and then move on.

    Beautiful place, restaurants around the harbour and up the lovely little side streets. All the ones we tried were very good but Nionios was our favourite, the little touch of taking us into the kitchen to show what was on offer took me back 30 years, when I was last here. Really nice little bar on the front playing fabulous music. Walks around the area, to a couple of popular beaches and more remote ones. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

    We had a wonderful four days. Perfect position to walk so easily into restaurants and the harbour. Clean, comfortable beautiful pool Just across the road from a small supermarket for all our needs. Sia so helpful. A perfect stay highly recommend

    Gaios was a delight.

    Gaios was a delight. Very pretty with plenty of tavernas coffee bars etc. However as we made our way through quite a few places we were told many times “ we don’t have “ when trying to order food. It’s not the end of the season you still have tourists! Best trip was with Captain Yannis on Agia Sebastianos boat which was exceptional! Authentic Greek food throughout the day so many swim stops around Paxos and Anti Paxos and for just 55 € great value this was our favourite day I absolutely recommend this to everyone.

    A beautiful, clean village full of nice restaurants, but without any crazy nightclubs or tacky souvenirs. Paxos island is perfect for exploring beaches – it’s not overly touristy, and renting a boat to sail around the island
