- From US$112.46 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 53 reviewsIt felt like home. Rooms are clean, cosy and have amazing views. Located right by the beach side. Staff were so friendly they made you feel welcomed and again like you were at home. Costa the owner goes above and beyond. It has restaurants and cafes at your doorstep. There is a supermarket within 3 min if you needed anything last minute. And your not far from the towns main centre to access shops which for a town has everything you need. Peloponnesus is a place most people should explore when coming to Greece. The Greek Islands are stunning and a must but mainland Greece is also a wow factor. and Akrata is a must to stop by for a few days when exploring Peloponnesus.Guest review byLibrarianAustralia
- From US$99.64 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 165 reviewsEverything! Attention to detail, everything we could possibly need and more. Extremely comfortable and clean. Lovely location, garden and being able to sit on the shore outside with your coffee in the morning is little short of heaven. Christina and Michalis were accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them. The local restaurant they directed us to was excellent and very good value for money.Guest review byvalerieUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 75 reviewsEverything. This is an exceptional oasis in the heart of Peloponnese, representing the true essence of Greek hospitality. From the room to the breakfast, from the garden to the restaurant, the place is a mix of traditional architecture with a modern presentation of the wildlife to be found in the Greek forests. Breakfast was awesome, and so was the overall experience. We will definitely go again.Guest review byΘεοδωροςGreece
- From US$46.62 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 445 reviewsWe have stayed in numerous accommodations in the past 3 months across England, France, Italy and Greece. This is one of the very best overall. Apostolis changed our date without hesitation at no cost, upgraded us to a sea view with balcony and provided numerous extras in the room including toast, drinks, coffee. jams and water. He stored our bikes safely. The value for money was superb.Guest review byCharlieCanada

From here, you can use a bus to reach Kiato, Corinth and Athens very cheaply. It is a beautiful town with nice monuments and ancient traditions. Pleasant city, active nightlife, many shops and excellent cuisine. From the Gulf of Patra you enter the Peloponnese. It is the right place to start a trip to Greece if you arrive by ferry from Italy, either with your own vehicle or simply on foot.Guest review byGiovanni RemondiniItaly - 4.0
The town is a tourist base.
The town is a tourist base. Not particularly interesting or pleasant. We only went for the railway trip, but unfortunately it was cancelled on the two days we were there, due to falling rocks on the line. This doesn't happen very often apparently...we were just unlucky. There are cave lakes to visit but we didn't do that. The car journey to the town is wonderful both ways - from Dimitsana and Diakopto.Guest review byRosieUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The place is not to heavy on tourists, they and we mainly come for the Vouraiko train (must see!). It would have been great to have known upfront that the seats on the train are not many so booking is necessary.Guest review bySonjaNetherlands - 10
The area along the water is quaint and lovely.
The area along the water is quaint and lovely. Beautiful for walking. Note that cafes are open during the day but dinner options, most restaurants do not open until 7:30 or 8 or even later. The scenery is stunning as was the drive there.Guest review byKatinaGreece - 10
Everything was very good and closely spaced with each other.
Everything was very good and closely spaced with each other. The weather was good and the sea was clean with very beautiful and well rounded pebbles. Super market and various food establishments were in an 100 meter radious. Very easy to walk, shop and dine without using any transportation.Guest review byAnonymous - 10
There isn't really much to Rio.
There isn't really much to Rio. It used to be where the ferries crossed to go to the North of Greece. The area to the right of the bridge as you go down has many restaurants and bars along the beach and the locals go swimming there a lot. On the other side to the left of the bridge there are again many nice restaurants and bars. One of the restaurants we went to was perfect. The Nafto oikos. They were fully booked but found a table for us by the kitchen and the food was exceptional. Rio is great if you are visiting Patras or on a stopover. There isn't really much to do there long term.Guest review byJohnGreece - 8.0

Comfortable bed, large closet with room for luggage. Strong and reliable wifi signal. Good breakfast, and dinner was delicious. Helpful and friendly staff. No separate area for smokers in common area, and spiral stairs to upper floors are steep rise/run.Guest review byAdventuresWithSweetTartUnited States - 10

Kalogria is amazing to spend time at the beach or relaxing in the woods walking around and even visiting Olympia and other archaeological sites like the Toichos Dymaion as well as the limnothalasses (lagunas) and hills. There are fruits and herbs to pick everywhere.Guest review byAndreBelgium - 10

It was nice, quiet and not too touristy which made the trip more relaxing. The bakery's were really nice and everything you needed could be found in the town easily. We had a friend with a car whilst we were there which made it easier to go out and have days out as it was a bit far out from some places, but we liked that about itGuest review byMollyUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Patra has some great archaeological sites & a castle but don't visit on a Tuesday as they are closed all day. It was easy to walk where I wanted to. There were lots of buses but I didn't have time to find out where you could travel to. So for those who don't want to walk I'm sure public transport could be an option. There were many bars & cafes. Interesting street & shops. You are close to the port if you wish to get a ferry to somewhere.Guest review byBrendaUnited Kingdom
