- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 1,559 reviewsThe town is small, peaceful and quiet but a tourist attraction (mainly holiday goers) so it had all the services and facilities we needed. It’s also in the middle of the highlands, with many, many activities, attractions and beautiful nature all around. It’s also a few hours drive from other Highland locations, such as Loch Ness, Fort William, Inverness, Glencoe, Isle of Skye (which we didn’t visit because it’s 3 hours away and I had little kids). We stayed for a week in Aviemore but we could have stayed more since everyday was filled with activity and interesting things to do.Guest review byIssaQatar

If I'll reach Aviemore once again, I will definitely book the place once again!Guest review byArkadiuszPoland
- From US$111.83 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 348 reviewsExcellent site. The pod was perfect with a fridge, kettle and microwave. Site was immaculate. The toilet block and shower rooms were very well kept. There are loads of activities on and off site for families or individuals do do. We were sorry that we were only staying one night. This site is so good that a longer stay is warranted to see and do everything.Guest review byCathyIreland

We really enjoyed our stay here - the staff are super friendly and helpful, there’s a good restaurant on site, rooms were spacious and there’s plenty of parking. There are also easy scenic hikes nearby to walk the dog 🙂 thanks for a lovely stay!Guest review byZoeFrance
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 354 reviewsThe chalet was lovely, comfortable and well-equipped and the outdoor hot tub and view of the lake were fantastic. We walked in the on-site woods and our granddaughter loved the huge playgrounds. It was too cold (for us) to swim but the lake and its facilities looked great.Guest review byYosephIsrael

I love this neck of the woods.
I love this neck of the woods. Plenty to do if you are an outdoors person or just want a break from busy places. It is a nice laid back location where there is a lot less hassle. Lots of nice food places - either restaurants or take-aways and plenty of shops where you could buy your own food if you don't want to go out. Highly recommended. If the weather is not so good there are plenty of lovely places you can drive to within 45 minutes.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful little town in a stunning location. The town is decorated with the most amazing hanging baskets. Several pubs, all seemed to be busy and offered good value food. The town is ideally located for exploring the beautiful areaGuest review byJuliaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Everything in walking distance , chippy , charity shop, bakery, bus stop, could see hills from town center. Great bus ride from Aviemore ...so much nature . Hotel was very good and much cheaper than Aviemore . Was worth doing the bus ride . If you come by car the scenic tourist route goes from here to Aberdeen.Guest review byJason Ralph JonathanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Kingussie is ideal for people who want beautiful walks or a bit of climbing or cycling. There’s a fantastic bike shop called Bothy Bikes where you can hire e- bikes to explore the area. The scenery in this area is outstandingly beautiful. There is the potential to see local wildlife if you are quiet.Guest review byAnnaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I was not visiting Newtonmore, but climbing. Newtonmore is a nice village with some good hotel restaurants and bars and is in a lovely setting in the hills. its probably a good centre for a touring holiday, and there are quite a few good places easily reached from here.Guest review byDave_ShanksUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Boat of Garten is a small village which has some good features and services, including a pub, a village store, pizza shop, art gallery and historic railway station. It is well located in relation to forest walks and other outdoor activities. For any significant shopping you needs to travel nearby Aviemore, 4.5 miles away. We preferred the peace and quiet of Boat of Garten for our stay in the area.Guest review byJohnAustralia - 8.0

Nestled amongst the mountains with paths and tracks leading all over what’s not to like? Sadly, the general facilities here have gone. No shop for example. One place did have a sign out for coffee, but there could be an opportunity here for someone. Worth climbing up the Cateran Trail heading south to get stunning views looking down on the village. Also visit the stone circle, old bridge and the church. Just soak up the atmosphere!Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0
International dark sky park and local ski centre.
International dark sky park and local ski centre. Didn’t have enough time to visit other local attractions like the castle ruins, Jacobite battle sites etc. could spend weeks up here if you’re outdoor people!Guest review bymichael - 2.0
Very disappointing stay.
Very disappointing stay. Staff were rude and unhelpful - especially at breakfast. Dining staff Bella’s behaviour was shockingly unprofessional and not acceptable. Dirty, smelly rooms, one with a broken bed. Complaints were brushed off with a simple “sorry.” We booked 4 rooms for family visiting from Canada and deeply regret choosing this hotel. Definitely not worth the 4-star rating.Guest review byNiaz - 8.0
