There are plenty of good restarurants with excellent food and lively bars. Bar Macao, Family Pub and The Home were excellent bars with a good range of beers. Enjoyed an excellent meal at Au Vieux Fourneau. In fact every meal we had was delicious with fresh fish or meat and vegetables. All added to an enjoyable stayGuest review bykevstonesUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The town is lovely, full of gorgeous restaurants and shops and bakeries that are world class. I can highly recommend Manufacture for great home baked biscuits, as well as JoJo's Dough for incredible donuts and more. The beach is soft and sandy with lots of water sports to choose from. There is something for all ages, with a stunning carousel which you to have need cash for. We have now been here twice and we plan to come again with the kids for a nice weekend break. We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Le Touquet which was extremely lovely with a fabulous indoor pool, comfy rooms and very friendly staff.Guest review byMandyUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A bustling town with independent shops, cafés and restaurants. A wide esplanade and a very safe beach make it ideal for families. The people are friendly and will help if your French is not up to askinng questions. Very busy on a Sunday so if you want lunch go in early. Parking can be an issue, it's pay parking but not expensive and free between 12:00 and 2:00 There is a one way system which you soon get used to.Guest review bySueUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We visited for the World Cyclocross racing, so wasn't there to explore Lens itself. However we found a variety of bars and restaurants that were reasonably priced. We'd have visited Rhe Louvre, but it was closed on the day we could have gone (Friday). Great transport to Lille via train.Guest review byVickyUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Nice stop over, 40 mins from Calais, en route for the south.
Nice stop over, 40 mins from Calais, en route for the south. We arrived on a late Sunday afternoon in August. It was easy to get to and small and quiet enough to get a taste of French life without feeling we'd missed too much. We wandered the streets, admiring the architecture, visited the museum as it was closing, stopped for a drink in a bar and shopped for basic ingredients at a local store. It felt safe. Perfect for a stop over. After leaving Saint Omer we drove south and stopped in Nemours for lunch, picking up picnic items from the supermarket and parking up in a big carpark on a very attractive part of the river. Would recommend as an alterrnative to the services.Guest review byRachaelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

All in all just a super, budget friendly, family friendly, pet friendly hotel that blends all you'd expect from a really decent 4 star hotel in a superb location but with a 3 star budget which when you're traveling with 5 kids and a puppy, makes for an excellent choice to break up an otherwise long and arduous trip.Guest review byzoranUnited Kingdom
