Tallinn might be the city I have visited the most times by choice. It is small enough that a weekend feels sufficient to see a lot of it, while making one want to go back for more. If you like dumplings, you have to try those at Pelmen kohvik. I drop by there every time I go to Tallinn.Guest review byArielleSweden - 10.0

Maardu is a quiet industrial town near Tallinn, just 30min by bus from the city center. It has a lot of supermarkets, is rather clean and well-kept and feels somewhat safe. Might be interesting for fans of Soviet/industrial legacy and brutalism architecture due to town being almost exclusively built in Soviet era with mostly pre-fab apartment complexes. A short walk of ~2 hours is enough to see the most sights of this town and take some great photos.Guest review bychuuootokkaiLatvia - 10.0

The house was clean and very nice and the view was amazing! Otherwise there is not much to do in Paldiski. You can walk around but there is one cafe and a couple of restaurants, thats it. If you enjoy long walks and astonishing views, this is for you.Guest review byChalindrFinland - 4.0

The bed was very high (as it was with old manor beds back in the day). We were travelling with a toddler and we were scared that they might fall out of the bed; it was impossible for the child to climb into the bed. The ventilation was poor, it was hot in the room (no AC), as it's an old manor. There's no kettle in the room, so you have to walk to the other side of the building to get a tea. It was pouring rain outside and there were no heaters or place to dry our clothes. There's also a lake next to the manor, assuming people want to go swimming, yet there's no place to dry your swimsuit/clothes. The bathroom was large (it was meant for people in wheelchairs), yet there's no way you could move around the room in a wheelchair, the room was very small. We didn't try the spa, we weren't in the mood. The breakfast was very simple - just an egg toast with some veggies and juice, served per table (you don't get to choose what you eat) + small desserts. Overall, the price is very high for the service you get. The manor itself is nice, but there's nothing really to do there and some key comfort items are missing.Guest review byVilciņa - 10.0
A lovely city.
A lovely city. The old medieval center is delightful, but do venture further afield. We ate at Barbarea in a repurposed warehouse in the old Navy yards (very good, and interesting location) and at the Fotografiska restaurant (superb) as well as taking the tram to Kumi, the Art Museum that is not to be missed (with excellent cafe for lunch). Kadriog Park through which we walked to get to Kumi is lovely too, with a Peter the Great Palace to admire as well. Do go to the City Market on the other side of the train station from the old city - amazing fresh produce stalls, older ladies with hand knitted items, antique stalls on the 2nd floor, great food stalls on 1st floor, Back in the old city, don't skip the Esti handicraft stores, and for wonderful linens, yarns and other crafts do stop by Domus Line, and finish with afternoon tea with the locals at Rukis. A tour from a local guide is a good choice on the first day to get oriented and learn the history of this exquisite place. Those medieval streets can be confusing at first!Guest review byClareUnited States - 10.0
Manager Meelis knows the true meaning of hospitality.
Manager Meelis knows the true meaning of hospitality. We have been to many special places around the world, nothing compares with his very warm welcoming and attention. The manor is enchanting, location and surroundings superb. We were treated like we were the only guests, and if this was our home. Breakfast was freshly cooked for us and had everything we wanted and much more. The lake suite we stayed in completed this exceptional experience, taking us back in time with all of today’s comforts🤩Guest review byNebahatFinland - 10.0

My stay was only for 2 full days, which I spent entirely exploring the Old City., so much history, if that is your interest. I think 2 more days to explore the rest of the city and surrounds is needed. Cheaper than Finland and Norway. Take an umbrella as it is inclined to be wet.Guest review byDianneAustralia
