- From $137.50 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 194 reviewsRustic cabin in a gorgeous private nature reserve (with UNESCO Biosphere status). It was a really privilege to be staying inside the reserve, with accept to hiking trails, huge wild waterfalls, beautiful temperate rainforest, fascinating organic architecture. I enjoyed learning about the vision of the founders of the Huilo Huilo Reserve and to see how it has worked out 2 decades on.Guest review byLeslie SokolowUnited States
- From $440 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 305 reviewsWe returned to Huilo Huilo to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary. Such a special place. The property and grounds are stunning. The dining options were lovely. All staff were very friendly and happy. Special thanks to Maria Jose for making our stay special. We especially loved the Volcano at Sunset excursion. Claudia, Rodrigo and Rodrigo did an amazing job. We’ll be back!Guest review byrenee marcelleCanada
- From $109.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,550 reviewsI enjoyed the rose garden in full bloom. The restaurant was really top quality, see photos. Unfortunately, there is no view from the rooms, but the river is just two blocks down. The staff were very kind and helpful. They took care of the details, like fetching bottled water, that make a difference. It's not new, but it's classy.Guest review byHeatherUnited States

Valdivia was nice with the river front markets and sea lions a great spectacle. Lots of tour options and great seafood to try. One must be careful in Valdivia with robberies are not uncommon, specially break ins to vehicles. Had my car broken into. Unsure if I will go back. It left a sour taste the whole experience.Guest review bySebastianChile - 2.0

I wouldn’t recommend to rent this place during the winter time. It was very cold inside of the cabin. We had to sleep in skiing jackets and hats. The owners do not provide heaters and it’s next to impossible to heat up the bedrooms. They have a wood stove that doesn’t make much difference. In addition, we had to wake up every two hours to add wood in the stove. However, I can imagine this place can be lovely if you stay during the summer since the view and surroundings are beautiful.Guest review byYarosh - 10.0

there are lots of great hiking trails in the area, all well marked and extremely scenic. the Bike trail is also good. Netulme itself doesnt have much in town but you come here for the outdoor activities. If you have a good cabin (which we did) and are well supplied you dont need restaurants and bars. for me this was a great place to chill and recharge.Guest review bylorraineSpain - 8.0

Beautiful place to visit in a long weekend with family or a romantic stay. The riverside walk at noon is beautiful and if you have a car, open sea with big beaches are very close. The fish market is amazing. For people ho enjoy architecture, are amassing building all around.Guest review byluciaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Many international travelers may think: "what's the big deal...
Many international travelers may think: "what's the big deal?" but this is a real university town with an incredibly rich history and a little bit of everything to offer-- that is, if you know how, and where, to look. The pub scene, between Calle Esmerelda and Isla Teja, is undoubtedly one of the best in the country, there is a strong and storied literary and cultured circle that haunts the many cafes and bookstores during the day, and there are plenty of places to shop and pass time, inside or outside. Many Chileans adore the city for the relatively high quality urban experience it offers. If you're looking for a pampered luxury experience or world-class historic or cultural sites, you may be better off going to an all-exlusive resort near one of the many lakes in Chile's southern regions, or getting to some archealogical sites outside of the city itself. But overall Valdivians are community people, and rightly proud of their city. Most locals will be happy to tell you anything about their home; its relics from 16th century Spanish conquista, the 19th century German colonists, its near total destruction in largest earthquake in recorded history (1960), the Pinochet dictatorship, or more recent events. Many historical buildings and sites are better looked after in Valdivia than other cities in Chile (looking at you, Puerto Montt). So, go to Valdivia if you're willing to put in a little bit of effort; get out of your hotel (though I would recommend staying in one of the smaller, locally owned bed and breakfasts), interact with people, ask questions, and find things to do. But if you are looking for a traveleing experience where it's easy to find things to do, and you expect things to be polished, clean, and orderly, this probably isn't the place for you.Guest review byEdgarChile
