The hotel was incredibly kid-friendly and baby-friendly, which made our trip so easy and enjoyable. For the kids, there was a game room with a bowling alley, a cinema room, and even Lego plates at the kids’ buffet – such a fun touch! For our baby, they provided everything we needed, including a baby bathtub, baby body wash, diapers, and wipes. At dinner, they even had a special infant chair for babies who can’t hold their heads up yet – we were so impressed by the thoughtfulness. The whole place was spotless and very well organized. The buffet and sit-down dinner were both extremely delicious. The staff made our stay extra special – Lucca, the manager, was incredibly helpful, our server Stefan was wonderful, and the two ladies at the front desk were so kind. Our room had a breathtaking view, as if we were staying right inside a Scottish loch. Walking around the lake and seeing the cows nearby was one of the highlights of our entire trip. Beautiful city and kid people and the view was stunning, the atmosphere was peaceful. The bus stop was conveniently nearby, with buses arriving every 5 to 10 minutes to Sarnen. Melchtal has a cablecar and a road up to the plateau at nearly 2000m with a lake Melchsee and a small church. There are many cows and cheese is made there. Surrounding the lake are glorious peaks up to 2600m and Tiflis and other 3000m mountains are in the distance. Sarnen is so beautiful with lush green hillsides, breathtaking views of the surrounding Alps, pretty streams and a peaceful lake. There are lovely walking trails and parks with boating activities and fantastic amenities. We were only able to stay a short while, but enjoyed a delicious dinner at Molini's, which we highly recommend. Sarnen is a lovely little town, with a wide range of shops, two supermarkets and a garage. There are lots of walks in the surrounding area which are well signposted. A small river runs through the centre. The town has a range of restaurants. It was very well situated for our overnight stop on a drive down to Italy.Guest review byMark
