AustraliaWe loved our stay! Our room was in the perfect position overlooking the river & stunning mountain scenery with a lovely balcony. Checkin was smooth & the staff were friendly & efficient. The accommodation was very clean & well presented with comfortable beds. We really enjoyed the free continental breakfast of boiled eggs, pancakes, waffles, yoghurt, oranges.. There was not time to experience the hot tub, pool or spa but they look great in the photos. We look forward to staying again!

Very pretty, walkable small town. Downtown on Saturday night was very quiet. Lots of restaurant choices for dinner, we ended up at the Bridge Bistro - loved the river walk on the way back to our hotel. Mountain views everywhere! Fernie is a great small town only 3 hours from Calgary by car. People are friendly and it has a great outdoorsy vibe. In summer there are lots of options for mtn biking and hiking, but also white water rafting, fishing and golfing. There are several stores that sell outdoor gear as well as several places for hiring gear like mtn bikes in summer and boards/skis in winter.
