Very well prepared for our arrival, as well as aware of my birthday. Thank You very much for the birthday gift! The Staff is one of the best in the entire world. Very welcoming, very friendly, very open minded, very understanding, very kind, very thoughtful, very worldly, very versatile, very careful, very caring, very classy. Especially the young front man from the reception, the elderly gentleman from the bar/restaurant and the lovely valet. The building of the hotel is phenomenal, worth visiting and admiring. It deserves for every one of each compliments. After entering it, you won't want to leave it. A real piece of history. The spa and its Ladies are out of this world. I felt well groomed and pampered. A true feast for both, the body and the mind. It was like a luxurious journey through time. It's official. No matter where in the world I live, I will always come here for my birthday. A very warm welcome and a change of room was much welcome. We were soaked through with rain after our long motorcycle journey. The bath was just what we needed. Thank you very much. Secure parking for the bike was good too. And the restaurant next door has great food, they even done my steak well Bein Cui.

Outdoor Pursuits Amid Picturesque Nature

A tranquil region of meandering rivers, lush hills and picturesque towns, the Belgium Ardennes is mainly covered in forest and is an outdoor pursuits haven.

Most Belgian Ardennes hotels on Booking.com are in stately Spa, a cold spring town after which all spa towns are named. It also has many casinos and is near the legendary Spa-Francorchamps race track, host of the F1 Belgian Grand Prix.

Durbuy claims to be the world’s smallest town, and its cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and topiary park are certainly worth visiting. On the Ourthe River, this quaint town has a castle and several luxury Ardennes hotels. Also on the Ourthe, popular La Roche-en-Ardenne has a medieval castle overlooking the riverside town. To the east, Vielsalm is by a peaceful lake in the Ardennes mountains, while Rochefort is famous for its Trappist monastery and brewery.

Further south Bastogne has poignant reminders of its place in World War II, most notably the Battle of the Bulge. It is close to the Luxembourg border, as is Arlon, home to an excellent archaeological museum.

Close to France is beautiful Bouillon, whose castle overlooks the town sweeping around a U-shaped bend of the Lemois River. On the Meuse River is Dinant, spectacularly situated at the foot of a rock topped with a castle.

    The food and bread was MOLDY! All plastic food containers are from host his own fridge with broken plastic trays, milk chocopasta and juice bottles are opened and already used. Host is very rude and tells you to take your shoes off and lower the temperature before you go to sleep and when you leave. and the accommodation is really dirty! UNBELIEVABLE! Please don't go there!

    A little gem of Ardennes with little streets peppered with fancy bars, restaurants and shops. Good both for a one-day trip and for a longer stay. Nice nature around, and a paradise for kayaking. Do not miss the Parc des Topiaires for fun. The famous green Labyrinth is nearby.

    Francorchamps is a very small town (village). There isn't much to see or do but we were there for the Formula 1 so there was a good atmosphere and sufficient bars/restaurants to have a good variety.

    The castle was amazing - we spent several hours there and loved the falconry display - saw two displays which were different. Commentary was only in French or Dutch, so I was glad to be able to follow most of the French - but visually it would have been interesting anyway.

    We stayed at the apartment so that we could access the race track. It’s a 10 minute walk into the circuit. The location was perfect, very smartly designed and finished and completely spotless. I have never stayed anywhere so well prepared and when we arrived after a long drive from the UK we were delighted to find some home made cake, some cold beers in the fridge and some essentials just to get us settled in. A very nice touch. Everything worked perfectly and we had a very relaxed few days while we watched the car racing.
