We liked the beauty of Bregenz which is situated alongside Lake Constance. There are nice restaurants & cafes, shops, walks, boats etc and we enjoyed the cable car ride to see the small farm, great for children and the views of the mountains are spectacular. The area is excellent for cyclists & runners, and for people with mobility issues. There are ferries which go to the small German island of Lindau, which is worth a visit and it takes 20-30 minutes. Useful stepping off point for experiencing the Montafon area on foot; or, as a base for exploring Montafon by bus or car. Trains to Tschagguns / Schruns are easy. I went London - Paris (Eurostar) - Zurich (TGV Lyria) - Bludenz - Tschagguns in one day. In Tschagguns I like the the Gasthof Lowen (Austrian food) and Dimis the greek restaurant. Cute clean little town flanked by mountains. Pedestrian-only quarters very charming with chic boutiques and smack bakeries/cafes. We did not have enough time to trudle explore the town as our hotel was located in nearby Stallehr.
