The exterior is a bright and freshly painted white and red. Interior has a rustic, cottage decor, with traditional wall hangings and rugs. My upgraded room had an accent wall draped entirely with cow (yak?) hide fur. There is a terrace to enjoy the view of the mountains, and I was lucky to enjoy this place in the off season of February, while weather was not bad at all. The ride and walk up to the 7th century Buddha carving in Kargah was very pleasant, and the driver told me lots of things about the area. Overall, very homey and friendly, family-run guesthouse.

Ali who works there is a great day-guide and shows you all the important stuff in Hunza Valley. We loved the comfy chairs on our balcony and they also offer a good range of meals. The breakfast was very good and all the staff is very eager to make your stay comfortable.

The surrounding area was very peaceful. The owners were super helpful and arranged for us to be picked up from the airport and arranged other excursions for us. The food was delicious. Very good experience here!

I also liked the calm atmosphere while being located in the heart of the town. Electricity issues, which are common in the area, are managed well. I would stay again.
