For all of us, we had not been to the desert before, so everything felt new and exciting. We really enjoyed the camel ride, and watching the sun go down from the dunes was special. Back at the camp we ate well, and we really enjoyed some nice times around the fire with music, without it ever feeling like too much. We left the next morning by 4x4, which was a fun way to finish off the stay. We have already started working on our return plan.

I arrived just moments before sunset and watched the dunes turn golden under the last rays of light. At night, we sat around the fire, drinking mint tea and listening to Berber drums beneath a sky full of stars. Riding the camel across the desert was simple and peaceful I felt as if time had stopped. At dawn, I watched the sun slowly rise over the sands, as if it were waking the world anew. This journey will remain carved in my heart, not just as a visit, but as a living memory I’ll never forget.

I recently had the pleasure of spending a night at a desert camp in the Merzouga Desert, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and the excitement of being in the heart of the desert. The camp is set up beautifully, with traditional Berber tents that are surprisingly comfortable, complete with cozy beds and all the essentials. The real highlight of the experience was the breathtaking sunset over the dunes, followed by a starlit sky that was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. The dinner served was a delicious mix of traditional Moroccan dishes, and the staff was incredibly friendly, sharing stories and music around the campfire. The camel trek to the camp was an adventure in itself – a great way to experience the vastness of the desert. Expedition Luxury camp se encuentra en Merzouga y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. El desayuno está disponible e incluye opciones buffet, a la carta o vegetarianas. Personal muy amable. Dejamos el coche en un hotel que nos confirmaron ese mismo día a primera hora. Tenía piscina que pudimos usar antes de que nos llevaran al campamento en el desierto. Antes de viajar concretamos por el chat de Booking cómo nos íbamos a desplazar al campamento y la excursión de 1 hora en quad que fue chulísima. El viaje al campamento en Jeep son unos 15 minutos. La cena normal pero el desayuno buenísimo. Las jaimas limpias y grandes.

Luna Luxury Camp Merzouga se encuentra en Merzouga y ofrece wifi gratis, jardín, terraza y restaurante. El lugar es maravilloso, tanto los alrededores como la propia tienda. El baño es muy amplio y la tienda tiene mucho espacio. Las personas que trabajan en el Campamento son muy amables y simpáticas. Reímos mucho y lo pasamos genial. Gracias especialmente a Ayoub por su buen humor y amabilidad.

I think the most thing we liked wasn’t just the food, the pool and the good view but also how friendly and welcoming they were. It felt honestly like home, the location was perfect; close to stores and restaurant and more importantly right next to the astonished dunes of Merzouga

We enjoyed camel rides, spent the day exploring the dunes, tried sandboarding, went on quad bike adventures, and even visited nearby villages, all of this were so much fun. The peaceful silence of the desert at night was amazing.
