Their place is around 3km from the ancient city. They have bicycles for a small fee. The road next to the lake is amazing. I loved it. The room was spacious and cozy, hot water was available. You can get AC for an extra charge but I think a fan is enough. The food mom cooks is very delicious. I had dinner and breakfast with them. They were there to help me with everything and give me information about my sightseeing. I def recommend this place!!!

Binara and his family were friendly and welcoming . He speaks very good English and communicated clearly and promptly throughout. He went out of his way to ensure that I got the most out of my stay and was so kind and helpful in helping me with travel arrangements. He recommended a wonderful elephant safari with a very knowledgeable and experienced guide which I really enjoyed. This was a great base for exploring Polonaruwa and I would highly recommend Binara Homestay.

They also prepared a delicious lunch and dinner for me so I didn’t have to go out alone. Their kindness and thoughtfulness were truly heartwarming. The place has a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere – I felt right at home. Highly recommended, especially for solo travelers!
