Perfect place!!! The cabanas are spacious and very clean with the best shower we had in Sri Lanka. The pool is clean and large and a bonus for hot hours, we were with children who really enjoyed it. The host, Gamani, is so kind, helpful and friendly. We couldn't ask for a better place than this.

We had a brilliant stay in Lion Gate Hotel! Everyone working there was so kind, friendly and helpful. We had the traditional breakfast in the morning which we really enjoyed. The hotel is a very short tuktuk ride from everything you could want to see and do. We also enjoyed spending time at the pool which was very well maintained.

Que pena que solo pudiéramos quedarnos una noche porque no había espacio para quedarse más! El anfitrión es súper simpatico y te explica muchas cosas! Nos dio un café o te de bienvenida y le pedimos cenar allí y nos hizo kottu muy rico. Desayuno genial también. Wifi de 10!

Anusha is an exceptional, warm and welcoming host – we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Galaxy View Homestay. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. Our room had great air conditioning. The pool was a great vibe, very clean and a relaxing spot to chill out. Anusha even bought out mosquito coils to keep us comfortable when we were sitting and enjoying a drink outside in the evening. The home stay is a short 15 minute drive to Pidurangala and Sigiriya rock, making a great spot to start the walk nice and early in the morning. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast of fruit, roti, bread, tea and coffee. There are several eateries within a 5-10 minute walk of the homestay, as well as a small supermarket/shop and an ATM. We only stayed one night in Sigiriya but absolutely loved the place and would’ve stayed longer if we knew it was so good!

It is exceptional value for money, the facilities are great, big bathroom, great pool, ac and fan and the staff were incredibly nice. We were checking out at 5am to climb Sigiriya rock and so weren’t able to have breakfast, however they offered to make us sandwich’s instead which was incredibly kind.

We spent 3 very pleasant nights here. The location of the accommodation is a few minutes walk from the center, but makes up for it with the idyllic & lovingly furnished garden and above all the beautiful view of the Lions Rock + rice fields. Very good restaurants are close by. The hostess, who really takes great care of her guests, is supported by her son Danu and his wife. We really had a great time with Danu, who takes care of all the leisure activities, be it tuktuk rides, full-day excursions to the temples, archaeological sites, or a safari in an open jeep. He was always courteous, super motivated to show us his country in the best and nicest way. He knows his way around the country and even drove us to Kandy in his tuktuk. We can also highly recommend the breakfast! We would definitely come back!
