The incredibly warm welcome of smiles and beautiful hospitality, along with a happy dog and cat, it felt like we were stepping into a home. It was the best and calmest place with A variety of teas, boiling water, drinking water, coffee, homemade cookies and banana bread upon arrival with the fire lit for us to get all cosy after our walk along the trail. Super friendly vibes, community dinner was exceptional and the vegan option was the best I’ve had in Ecuador. The views over the valley are beautiful and clear sky’s meant for tea under the stars in the evening :)

I loved the yoga classes with Silke and the jacuzzi after a day of hiking. The bed was extremely comfortable with a fluffy duvet instead of those thick heavy ones you often get at hotels in this region. The food was incredible and there was always a vegetarian dish for me. I stayed 2 nights but could've easily stayed longer if I had the time.

At the hostel, all rooms are equipped with a balcony with a mountain view. The units at Hostal Cloud Forest come with a private bathroom and bed linen. Really nice hostal, Jose and Paty were very friendly and helpful. The food was great, large portions (breakfast and dinner were included) and enough variety. We also used the sauna and Turkish bath. They could also help with organising excursions in the neighbourhood. Nice and clean rooms, good lunch package for 3 dollars

Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. The house was very comfortable, and the hosts were very thoughtful. They gave great instructions on how to locate the property. They delivered breakfast the following morning, and it was delicious.

They went above and beyond the normal in all aspect. They even helped us to wash our clothes, got us mangoes from their local markets just because we said we like them. Mother’s cooking is simply superb! Had so much fu, especially with their pet lamas in the evenings.
