A very nice and warm welcome by Damith (the host). Really enjoyed the fairytale house with comfortable bed and nice shower. I am in love with the plant in the bathroom. Everything is very well maintained, clean and furnished with an eye for detail. At night I felt safe because of the sweet dog that lay in front of my door. During the tasty breakfast, colorful birds and squirrels visited the beautiful garden. The spectacle of the chattering ducks was very amusing to watch. Recently there have also been bunnies jumping around in the garden, but unfortunately I had to miss them. The environment was so pleasant and relaxing that I secretly didn't want to go out. The fear that I might miss something was just a little stronger. The host arranged a bicycle for me and I cycled to Unawatuna (15 minutes) & Galle (30 minutes). There is also a nice beach just a 5-minute bike ride away.

An incredible experience and warm welcome at Turtle Beach Talpe. This beautiful family made us feel at home and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and top class. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Delani is the chef and her food is freshly home cooked as you order. Best Sri Lankan curry and egg hoppers, best food in Talpe. Setting is right on the beach with palm trees and the ocean at your feet. Chilled beers. We hired their scooters and they arranged transfers for us. We only stayed 3 days but felt like family when we left. Shashika made sure everthing was well maintained and lovely cool airconditioned rooms. Perfect location. Thank you we hope we can come back soon.

This villa is in my opinion the best you will find in Galle, the staff are amazing, the cleanliness and location is second to none. Staff are so accommodating and the rooms are just exquisite, it’s like staying in the best 5 star hotel you could imagine, but you just have the privacy and amazing surroundings around you.

It's a beautiful place where you can fully relax. The staff was amazing (especially Harsha and Shakthi) and showed us beautifull places all around. They helped us with everything we asked them (like taking us to the train station to help us get on the right train). They really make you feel at ease. The room was magnificent with a beautiful bathroom and a very comfortable bed. It is amazing that there is a private beach at the hotel. You should really try the Sri Lanka breakfast option! It's delicious! In addition, they served us the most delicious coffee we had on our whole trip in Sri Lanka.

I had the best time at The Well so I came back here 4 times during my trip!! The owners do the most to ensure a great stay. It is not a party or super social hostel but the atmosphere is super laid-back and together with the beautiful pool area, it is the perfect place to relax. The price for the dorms is very reasonable as they are very clean, the beds are very comfortable and have curtains. I have met the best people at this place and would always come back here. Bihara and his family are super friendly hosts. They did everything that we felt comfortable. Bihara was always reachable via Whatsapp and answered quickly if we had questions. The room was great, big with a comfy bed, great working AC, even hot shower and a big table with chair. Perfect for people like us who had to work. It has a kettle and free coffee and tea in the room as well as in the kitchen. There is a separate kitchen just for the guests. The living room is huge and has very big tables where you eat breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and we got every morning something different. Another plus is the fast internet connection (fibre optic), which we appreciated because of working. There was also a dedicated parking space for our own TukTuk.

Amazing location right on the beach front with pretty much your own private beach to swim in. Homestay managed by two lovely sisters and their sweet children which will cater and cook whatever you would like. I’ll definitely be back!!
