We had a really great stay here!! Tharanga was the loveliest host and they couldn’t do more for us. He has amazing English so communication was super easy. The pool is massive with a shallow kids section too, rooms are clean and comfortable. The food was insane, we had a few different curries and string hoppers for breakfast! They were very accommodating and let us order for specific times with vegetarian options It’s currently off season so it’s quiet, and they really kindly let us check out a couple hours later than the initial time. The whole complex is beautiful and they even had a ‘beer pub’ with a wide variety of drinks. Food and drinks were very reasonably priced and overall the stay was great value A little bit far from the town but this didn’t bother us as we just wanted to chill. We initially planned to stay at Agro Village Kalpitiya for just one night but ended up staying for two. The wonderful host, Pereira, took great care of us. The food was so delicious that we had all our meals there during our stay! The shrimp and tuna were incredibly fresh. There's also a massage hut on the property where a masseur comes by appointment. My husband and I enjoyed a great massage in the evening at a good price. Nearby is a fantastic beach with a bar (next to Elements) and a kitesurfing school. I highly recommend visiting—it's a quiet, empty beach with wild donkeys roaming around. Our son was absolutely thrilled!

I could truly unwind and relax at this retreat to the sounds of the ocean's waves. Its infinity pool offers beautiful vistas of the setting sun. A place with a soul. Everything here is thought out, refined and aesthetic. Starting from fresh, clean and fragrant cotton bedlinen and towels, through the arrangement of the rooms to the development of the area around. The entire area is very well-kept. The host is warm-hearted, communicative, hospitable and helpfull, and at the same time leaves you space. After two months of traveling around Sri Lanka, we came here for the last 5 days and it was the best place to say goodbye to this country. I recommend this place with pleasure.

If you never been to Kalpitiya, it has a sense of being on the outskirts of civilization. Here you stay nestled among the houses of the locals and share the beach with its fishermen. Beside great kite- and windsurfing (and endless beaches of course), there is not a ton of things to do in Kalpitiya. Scuba diving is good, when there is visibility. Dolphin watching is also a possible activity, but quite an expensive one that last a couple of hours. You won’t find any city center with shops, bars and restaurants near, but you can of course visit other resorts and use their facilities. However you should know that you have a very good restaurant on site if you stay at the Sea Sand Resort! This establishment is made up of about 10 small bungalows with a restaurant. The bungalows are quite basic, but very clean and comfortable and represents good value for money. Within about 10 minutes or more on foot, you can reach surf schools and beaches. From my own experience I can promise that you will be very well taken care off if you chose to stay at Sea Sand Resort.
