I would recommend this place to everyone! The host was so incredibly hospitable and sweet. She helped us with the elephant trip, cooked us an amazing dinner and breakfast and was just all around incredibly accommodating. She even let us stay a little while longer to freshen up and prepare for the next leg of our journey, after we came back from half a day in Anudharapura. You really see that she loves hosting and it shows in everything she does for her guests.

The Shakshuka breakfast was delicious, also the pasta dinner ~ as good as in Italy. Bed so comfortable, setting very peaceful. Pool was perfect for cooling down in the middle of the day and I loved watching monkeys swing through the trees while reading on a pool lounger. The owner arranged a jeep safari for me at local Eco Park ~ it was awesome to see elephants up so close!

Gabaa Resort was the perfect escape for all travelers . The staff was welcoming, and the surroundings were peaceful. The room was clean and comfortable, providing a great place to unwind. Kalhara made our stay perfect. He organized wonderful tours (safari, temples, dance show), and her wife prepared amazing breakfast and dinner! Everyday we had a different menu, always good and with Sri Lankan delicacies. The room was huge, spotless clean, with a very comfortable bed. The garden is beautiful, with palm trees and flowers, with a nice patio where we relaxed before dinner.. We had also a very nice walk close to the lake and ricefields, from the road in front of the hotel. We strongly recommend Swan lake to everyone wants to enjoy Habarana area

Jeewa, Masha, and Oleena made our stay wonderful. Their homestay is lovely, jungle vibes. The room is spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious, and Masha's dinner is very tasty. Jeewaa was always giving us advice and helping us to decide what to do around. We went on a safari with a guide that he recommended, and apart from being cheaper than other places, the guide was also very knowledgeable and professional. We wanted to do some Ayurvedic spa treatments, and we found other places quite expensive, but Jeewaa recommended us a local Ayurvedic centre, and the place was half the price then other places and it was SO GOOD! Our kids had the best time, Oleena (the couples' daughter) was always so friendly and playing with our kids. Our kids ended up joining the neighbourhood kids' gang. We had the most wonderful stay if one day we come back to Sri Lanka, we would definitely go back to Oleena's homestay. Jeewaa, Masha and Oleena, thank you so much.

One of the best rooms we had so far in Sri Lanka, good hot shower and WiFi. All good restaurants within 5/10 min walking distance. The Lion Rock is also nearby. The breakfast is really good and the owner is really friendly and tries giving you a good time!
