Beyond Expectations Our stay was absolutely perfect. The room was beautifully designed, the facilities immaculate, and the view simply breathtaking. The pool area offered complete tranquility and privacy — a true oasis of calm. Dinner was exceptional — sincere compliments to the chef for a memorable culinary experience. We really enjoyed how we have been integrated, we felt just like another member of the family. We were looking for an authentic experience to spend aluth aruvudu (Buddhist new Year) and we could not have dreamed of something better than the few days we lived at the SNF. After 1month and a half we have never experienced this kind of welcome elsewhere. The whole family is very open minded, intelligent, sensitive, curious but what probably touched us the most is their willingness to share everything: Food (of course) but also what life learned them in general whether it is practical skills like cooking, cutting a coconut, observing nature or more "soft skills" like their view on life and their wisdom. We hope to come back as we know this was a unique and special experience.

Me and my partner could not be more impressed by our stay here, the views were breathtaking and the staff were wonderful catering to all our needs. Our meals, specified to our requests, were vibrant and full in taste. Supun was very informative of the nature that surrounded us and what wonderful walks were within the vicinity in which he sorted out a local to take us in his tuktuk. If you are considering to stay here I could not recommend it more! Supun in his humble nature eluded to a 10% charity donation from the fee you pay to stay here, so if nothing sways your mind giving a little to charity surely does!!

Hosts were so friendly and helpful. The cooking demonstration was a really lovely addition. Food was super delicious. Little bit out of town (10-15 min tuktuk) but worth it for the setup and peaceful environment.

The room is very nice, comfortable and clean! There’s hot water and shampoo and body wash provided. Towels are really good. The balcony has nice view. Breakfast has lots of choices and it was really yummy. The owner is so kind and helpful in anything you need. He even took us to rent the scooter. Best accommodation I’ve stayed in all Sri Lanka!

    I recently stayed at Irene's Home for one night and overall had a decent experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We were offered many breakfast options. The food was also very good. The central location and reasonable pricing make it a good option for short stays in the area.
