Every thing was exellent.The location is greatfull and the garden view is also very creative and beautiful. Very tasty food and very clean rooms and bathroom. I really love Safari . We should specially thank for the host , maika because he helped us in all the activities and he was very friendly. And also the safari driver. The safari was exellent. We enjoyed very well the wild life and we saw lots of kinds of animals,birds, etc... the safari driver is very friendly and cute. And finally every this was very very exellent and i recommend this place for a gratefull and enjoyable stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Hasthi Cottage! Dasun, his family, and the entire staff made us feel like part of their family with their warm hospitality and ever-smiling faces. The food was delicious, especially the chicken curry made from Dasun’s wife’s special recipe. Dasun also helped us arrange taxis at the same rates as the PickMe app, making transportation hassle-free. We booked the elephant safari through them as well and had a wonderful experience—our guide, Ishank, was incredibly humble and knowledgeable. Overall, the service here was among the best we’ve experienced in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

This place is run by the most caring and genuine family, and I will confidently recommend this place for your stay! The building is new, the room has everything basic that you need, including a kettle and hair dryer, (which hasn’t been available anywhere else I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka so far). Delicious home-cooked meals were served on the personal balcony. The mother cooks everything herself and uses ingredients grown in her beautiful garden. The portions were very generous, enough to feed a village! The location is good, with just a walk from the bus stop, and shops & restaurants nearby. What really makes this place stand out are the owners, I felt so well taken care of. They got in contact with me before my arrival and arranged the Udawalawe national park safari for me. On arrival, I was welcomed with homemade orange juice. They packed a breakfast for the safari and even sent me off with some fruit from their garden on my last day. In the evenings when it rained, the host always checked in with me to see if I have electricity or if there are any issues with the room. And to top things off, they drove me to my next accommodation for a reasonable price, as the bus journey would have been 3x as long. I will look back to my stay here with fond memories and encourage you to book your stay here if you want to experience the true Sri Lankan hospitality! 🧡

Great experience! The room was clean, and the food was delicious. The place is quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The safari was amazing, and the driver was friendly and knowledgeable. Hotel staff were incredibly kind and attentive. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay. We stayed one night in sunbird's home. The whole place is very green and relaxing. The room is very comfortable. Hot water with power shower, fast WiFi, fantastic AC.The hosts are wonderful Friendly and will do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We really enjoyed our stay there

The host was really lovely and had helped us with everything. The safari tour was amazing we saw 10 plus elephants in our morning tour, some so close to our jeep! We also had a delicious breakfast waiting for us after our tour - one of the best we have had in Sri Lanka! The host was also really helpful in telling us what bus to take to get to our next destination.
