The most beautiful lodge we had the pleasure to stay at! Nested in the jungle, it felt like a dream to relax listening to the sound of the forest. Everything is beautiful at the Jungle Guide, and the staff is very kind and helpful. We even had the chance to listen to some of them playing the guitar and singing, it was lovely! I can't recommend it enough!

This is the most amazing place to stay. I've been to the jungle in India, Borneo and the Phillipines but Rambai Tree Eco Jungle Huts not only provided the most comfortable accommodation but they made us feel like family ❤️🙏. Romi and Tia communicated efficiently and clearly from the moment I booked, several months ago. They provided a very reasonably priced, friendly and knowledgeable return airport shuttle - Wayhu, and the best guides - Ronie and Nanda. We saw Orangutans, Gibbons, Thomas Leaf Monkeys, and a monitor lizard in just a half day trek! As well as being visited daily by the local Macaque troop and several large bats. Tia cooked us the most fantastic farewell dinner and we were genuinely sad to leave. Nothing was too much trouble for them ❤️

We had a great time at Villa Cheeky Monkeys - the owners and all the staff are so friendly and enthusiastic, they’re like a big family. Food is amazing, we loved Chef Ellie‘s pancakes, the Nasi Goreng on the treks and a top notch Rendang! We stayed 4 nights and the bed was comfortable, the shower was nice and hot 😚 we did the half day trek and then the sunrise trek the next day, Rian was so knowledgeable but also really personable, we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We saw some amazing things, my favourite being the white handed Gibbon and big Alpha male Orangutan 🦧 luck us 🍀 Rian had help from Sarol on the first trek and he‘s a cheeky monkey in the truest sense - always smiling, joking and screaming and singing when we went tubing down the river - what a ride 😆 the second trek was assisted by Andre, who is cool as a cucumber and has a really nice singing voice :) special shoutout also to Tondi for getting us from and to the airport safely. Oh and puppy Daisy 🥰

It's in an excellent location right on the river in the quiet spot of bukit lawang but still only a short walk from where all the action is and if you don't wish to walk there is a taxi service very close by which will get you into town. The rooms are very nice and the food choices are good and there is soft drinks and beers available for those that wish. Also the garden area is very beautiful with a lot of wildflowers and butterflies flying around so it's a pleasure even just to sit on your balcony and enjoy the view

The owner is friendly and helpful. He gave us a mosquitoes nest for the night which was super useful. The place is close to the river so if you like the sound of it, it is really nice!

The property was very nice and clean! Deluxe room is very spacious, clean, and had a beautiful view. You could even see different animals from the balcony. Obiwan and his team were so kind and helpful. We really felt like they treated us as family instead of guests. Very genuine people. Their jungle trek is the best! They know the jungle so well and also treat the animals respectfully.

Getting to this wonderful place is an adventure in itself. 15’ on a motor and a 20-30’ hike, but that will bring you to a home that settles itself in your heart (Don’t worry porters will be arranged for luggage and you will be guided – Connect on WhatsApp!). The family run hotel was constructed making use of the rocks from the river that curves around it and the wood from the jungle that surrounds it. You feel lost in nature. It has three upstairs rooms ideal for a family and a room downstairs. You’re family. The aunties cook local dishes (surprise menu – delicious banana-tree soup) and harvest from the garden. We planted a tree from the nursery. Cikita is a friendly host to help you. Baik is a senior guide with excellent English to help arrange trekking. The cook also gives a very professional massage. What can we say? Wifi and electricity may be spotty and there is no hamburger. But this place is so unique! Remote, so if you don’t want that, this is not for you. But if you look for a place to remember disconnected from everything. This is it.

De sympathie . Everybody like to help us. It was clean and the food was wonderful, better than in my house. The owner and the family are very lovely people. We come back . We also had made a 2days tour to see the animals in the jungle. We never have seen such a animal not far from us.But the guide and helper did todos what was possible. Food and a lot of things for eating. Sleep places, toilet etc. Everything was in the jungle. So next time, we go again . Frits and Manuel, Portugal.
