Super cosy and familiar guest house! Siran and his mother cooked very tasty dinner for us and offered a wine tasting from their own house wines:) Great view from the room:)

It was an amazing experience from the very begginning- the communication with the facility was very quick, they answered all my questions ahead of our stay and we managed to book a dinner and wine tasting as well. The meal was just perfect! Tasty, rich, well prepared with everything you might want from Armenian dinner experience. The wine they make was delicious! If you plan a trip to this region, you should definitely stay with those guys. Eric was great. Rooms are simple, but there is everything you might need, beds comfortable.

It is a once in a lifetime experience. you are in the middle of the mountains, alone. The stars and the dark sky at night and the mountains and the birds singing in the morning, it is just magical.

The property was exceptionally clean and well decorated. Better than the average. The family that hosted us speaks English and were very helpful and friendly. They also prepared breakfast for us.

I stayed for the Areni Wine Festival weekend, spending both Friday and Saturday nights at this property. It was perfect, as I didn’t have to worry about taking a taxi back to Yerevan after enjoying all the delicious wine. I arrived in Areni on Friday afternoon via private taxi, but Martin and his father, the hosts, kindly arranged a mini-van to take me back to Yerevan on Sunday morning at a very reasonable price. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations for things to do and see in the area. The terrace boasts stunning views, and my room was spacious and comfortable. Although breakfast isn't provided, there’s a wine shop nearby where I was able to grab coffee and bakery items. A mini-market is also just a short walk away, where you can find essentials. All in all, I highly recommend this place. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Areni town center, which is safe and well-lit – you just follow the main roads. The Wi-Fi is fast too.

A Truly Unforgettable Stay with a Beautiful Armenian Family Our 4-day stay at Ararat B&B at Chiva in the Areni Municipality of the Vayots Dzor Province in Armenia was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, Mrs. Knarik and Mr. Kajik welcomed us with open arms, making us feel not like guests, but like cherished members of their family. Their warmth, love, and genuine care turned our visit into a deeply personal and memorable experience. The home was peaceful and cozy, surrounded by a lush organic farm that provided the freshest ingredients for every delicious meal. Knarik treated us to a delightful array of traditional Armenian dishes—Dolma, Lavash, Lule Kebab, Khorovats, Pakhlava, Ttu Lavash, Rice Pilaf, Khinkali, and so much more—all lovingly prepared and bursting with flavor. One of the highlights was celebrating Kajik’s birthday with the family, filled with laughter, fun, and heartfelt moments. The generous servings of food and local drinks were made even more special by the love and care behind every offering. When we left their home, Knarik sent her love with us in the form of locally made jam, fresh fruits, chocolates, and more. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Saghatelyan family—especially Knarik, Kajik, and Qristina—for creating such a warm and welcoming space. Views, lovely breakfast, relaxing place

The best part is the family that owns the place. They're the best. Good to visit the monasteries around that area. You can also have a good homemade dinner and breakfast there.
