Clean, and very spacious rooms with a majestic view. Very comfortable for 8 people (my friendgroup and i). The kitchen was fully equipped, the shower always had hot water and there were enough sheets and blankets for all beds and sofas. Not far from the city centre and the owner of the house was extremely kind and helpful!

We loved staying at Villa 70, a beautifully preserved stone house officially recognized as a cultural monument. We were welcomed by the owners with kindness and fantastic local wine, a gesture that made the visit unforgettable. The home made breakfast was delicious. It is possible to park on the street and the owner helped us to park our car. Very easy to reach. Very spacious room. I regret not having stayed longer.

After travelling in Albania for over two months, I had the pleasure of staying at Friends' Hostel for one week. This is a perfectly managed family-run hostel and it has been my best accommodation experience during this long trip. The hostel is centrally-located in the Old Town in Gjirokaster, so it is close to all the attractions, cafes, restaurants and bars. At the hostel, you have large common areas that include two terraces with fantastic views. As for the facilities and cleanliness, everything is excellent. Lastly, the family is very welcoming and kind. While it is called Friends' Hostel, it can also be called Family Hostel given how they make you feel like you're at home!

Beautiful old guesthouse full of charm and history. The room is gorgeous with stone walls and handmade decorations. Bedding was comfortable and the view was amazing. There is everything you need (toiletries, towels, bed side lamps, slippers, etc.) and there wasn't any noise disturbance. The host is super kind and cute, and her son was helpful, welcoming and spoke great English. They are various papers around the house sharing useful information. The breakfast was delicious with homemade fried dough and a great view.

Very helpful owner, fantastic place in an old town close to The Bazar, beautiful view on Gjirokastra's mountains and castle from a huge terrace. Our "stone appartment" didn't have air conditioning but it doesn't need it- it's pretty cool inside in hot days.
