Located in Chitwan, 1.2 km from Tharu Cultural Museum, Hotel Tree Tops- A Serene Friendly Hotel in Sauraha provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi throughout the property. We had a wonderful stay at the Tree Tops. The room was very comfortable and there was plenty of space. Shower was hot and the WiFi always worked! The balcony was a lovely place to relax at the end of the day. The rear window overlooked the rice fields and the sunrise and sunset views were stunning. The restaurant provided us with some of the best meals we’ve had on our journey. Tham Magar is a fabulous cook. Eating on the porch was magical and let us watch the world go by. We were not far from the high street in Sauraha but we spent most of our time exploring the local Tharu community which lies in the opposite direction. (The Tharu cultural museum in that community is well worth a visit.) Since we were in Chitwan to visit Nepalese friends, we didn’t do any of the jungle treks but there is a wealth to choose from and the owner, Mr. Dilip Poudel, and his son, Sanjay can organize those for you. (Mr. Poudel was always a wonderful source of information!) As travelers for the last few years, we believe that location and the quality of the accommodations are key. However, the heart and soul of a hotel is the owners and staff. In addition to the Poudels, Diup Chaudhary was constantly a source of kindness and support. His smile is infectious. And Rina And Sabitri made sure that everything and everyone was well cared for at the Tree Tops. Definitely a 10/10!

Boasting mountain views, Hotel National Park- A peaceful Family home where you can stay Peace and Enjoy and Organize the wildlife Safari features accommodation with terrace, around 1.4 km from Tharu Cultural Museum. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking. The accommodation provides free shuttle service, full-day security and currency exchange for guests. The staff is amazing and can organize everything for you from the pick-up and drop-off at the bus station (for free) and the tours (canoeing/walking safara/jeep safari) at a very fair price. They also provide complementary sunset walks and will give you a heads up to see the rhino when it is close to the hotel. If you have the time, try to stay at least a couple of days to try all the different ways to explore the nature as every option is unique! For the solo travellers: while it is a hotel, it is very easy to meet people as you will do the jungle tours with the people staying in the hotel. Lastly, a shoutout to the dog! Not sure if it is the best guard dog as it only walks a few meters a day, but he/she is always there for you.

My friend and I had such a wonderful time at Tara’s Guest house. As everyone has already said it, it is a wonderful family in which everyone goes out of their way to help and support you. They are always smiling! From the didi who made our rooms, to aunty who took us around the village on our first day, to Vicky who is always there to help you with any kind of bookings, we are grateful for their warmth and hospitality! :)

A good location for a relaxing getaway in Sauraha, Tiger Corner Inn Homestay is a bed and breakfast surrounded by views of the quiet street. The property features a garden, terrace and parking on-site among other facilities. A hot spring bath and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. The bed and breakfast offers an American restaurant as well as free WiFi. The staff welcomed very warmly.The homestay is very nicely located in a quiet area and very close to the entrance of the national park.The staff helped with organizing safaris with reasonable rice and guide are experience.The room is comfortable and well equipped .The food is delicious.l highly recommend staying here.

If you want to have a true experience of the Chitwan National Park with the best local guide who is passionate about the jungle and has a ton of knowledge about the wildlife, then this is the best place for you! Bishnu (the owner of the lodge and guide) is truly amazing! He started answering any questions I had even before I arrived at the area. His wife and his kids are truly adorable and they made me feel like being at home. I went with Bishnu in a half day jeep safari and a full day walking (and boat) safari, as well as some other activities like bird watching. Even if we were not lucky enough to see a tiger, we saw many rhinos, deers and monkeys! Bishnu knows every corner of the forest and he was explaining to us every detail and answering any questions we had. While other guides may show you only the basics without putting much effort, Bishnu is trying his best to find the best spots in the jungle so that the guests could have the greatest experience! One day of my 3 days stay, I was the only guest and Bishnu arranged extra activities especially for me so as not to get bored! Last but not least, the food was fresh and homemade, and it was the best food I had in Nepal! These 3 days full of adventure and great hospitality, was the best part of my trip in Nepal and makes me want to visit Nepal and Bishnu again in the future for sure! Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. Raj, his family and staff were all extremely helpful. Tours provided were a fraction of the cost I had been quoted at another hotel. Room and facilities of a standard relative to the price.
