The location is very rural which is just what we needed after hectic days of safari which was arranged by Kurumba lodge and they provided water, breakfast and lunch for us! Thanks so much we loved our stay!

The accommodation provides a shuttle service, while a bicycle rental service is also available. Sabina and her partner were such lovely hosts! They were very helpful with any request we had and they also cooked such a delicious food!!! The room was cozy and clean. Overall, we loved our experience at this place! I wish we can go back :)

The owner Anushka is a wealth of knowledge and was able to organize dolphin watching and onward travel for a reasonable price.

From the amazing buffet dinner they prepare for us, til the very uptight safari and guide they have associated with to do the guide safaris in wilpattu national park (btw this guide is the absolute best, incredibly knowledgeable and sweet person, made us see 3 leopards on a bad day...) The rooms are splendid, very nice and comfortable beds, bed sheets made in heaven... and the resort itself is very beautiful and just 10 min walk away from a splendid lake where we can also take a dive. Amazing

Kitelantis provides lagoon front accommodation in Kalpitiya. Among the various facilities of this property are a water sports facilities and an outdoor swimming pool. The property provides lagoon views. The staff are the best! Specially the manager Jessie, so nice to talk to and helped us with everything we needed. The rest of the staff were also lovely. Location is amazing, if you want a very beach jungle vibe this is the place. The pool bar was probably my favourite. Oh and if you want to go to the beach you go by boat, just a couple of minutes. Almost no tourist around.

Our tree house was right next to a monkey family’s tree house ;-) we walked around the lodge, had amazing three course dinner, went on a late night river boat safari, and a half day morning safari. Spotted crocs, elephants, saw fresh leopard footprints (couldn’t spot the cat, however she was definitely there), so many different birds, monkeys. Had breakfast from the provided basket and lunch when we arrived back at the lodge. The location is great, on the river, close to the Wilpattu entrance. We stayed one night but can recommend staying two.
