Once a beloved pub and B&B, it has been thoughtfully restored into stylish, private guest apartments with stunning sea and hills views — the perfect retreat for a relaxing stay on Inis Mór. We loved everything about our stay in Tigh Fitz. The rooms were spotless and comfortable with everything we could possibly need. The girls who served breakfast and cleaned the rooms were very friendly, helpful and efficient. But the most wonderful thing about our stay was Penny, the proprietor. She is the kindest, warmest, most helpful woman who went above and beyond to make our stay such an enjoyable one. She organised tours and lifts and even picked us up herself from the ferry port and pub. She gave us such good advice on what to do and see in Inis Mor. We were very, very sorry to say goodbye to Penny when we left the island.

The hotel is in the heart of the Gaeltacht where the Irish language is still spoken. In the local area there are good walks, boat rides and Dun Aongusa Fort. Staff at reception was really nice and helpful. Rooms are nice and quiet comfortable. Fish at the restaurant was good and the pour a great pint of Guiness. Location is great to see the Black Fort and it’s only a short walk to the port. Minibus tours can be booked at reception and you’ll be picked up at the hotel.
