I loved the uniqueness of the place: all redwood, built in 1957 from a single tree, with most of the historical features intact, including custom furniture. Mid-century modern, Pacific northwest style. The room had ambience and was very comfy. The built-in heater worked. Everything was very clean.

The room was very clean and spacious with plenty of storage and the bathroom had a nice selection of toiletries. A big car park, and all-day tea and coffee making facility both in the room and in the dining area. What made this hotel stand out was the exceptional level of care from the staff who could not have done more to help us and make us as comfortable as possible. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oceanview Inn and Suites.

The hotel is in walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and Ocean World. A short drive will get you to some awesome hikes through the red woods. We enjoyed how spacious the room was and found the bed to be comfortable. My favorite part was the jacuzzi tub in the room. The staff was friendly and informative.

Beautiful location and view from room; large room & jacuzzi tub; restaurant and basic amenity store on location so we didn't have to leave again after checking in (and a long drive!); awesome, friendly, and caring staff. The building is old, but the owners are obviously trying to address concerns one by one to ensure comfortable stays... nice towels, bedding, pillows, etc.

the view would have been good except for looking at a a dirty parking lot and the grounds really pooly kept. Sitting on the supposed balcony, looking through the clear plexy glass smeared with a bad blue paint job.

The main reason that we stayed there was that the hotel was right next to the ocean and a beach. It was on a parking lot with a few restaurants and a boat launch. We could see a little bit of the ocean from our window. The room was pretty clean. The refrigerator was pretty big which was great for us because we brought food with us for the couple days we were there.

The Hiouchi hotel looks like many other motels, two-level walkup with rooms that overlook the parking lot. But it is well-cared for and maintained and feels like a nicer place than many motels

We appreciated that the property had security stationed in the parking lot throughout the night and that there were on-site laundry facilities with a comfy couch nearby. The breakfast in the morning was satisfying. The room was way bigger than expected!

We had a good stay at this motel. It was in a quiet location full of trees and greenery. The bed and pillows were decently comfortable. The place is slightly run-down and in need of renovation, but it was clean. Free parking is always great, and we felt safe during our stay there. It was an easy and straightforward check in and check out process. It was overall good value for money. It is a good place for a stop over for a good night’s rest. Will recommend.

I purchased a ground floor ocean front room. When I got to the property they put me on the 3rd floor with a small window view of a parking lot and some rocks .
