That is a nice cozy place surrounded by banana trees, very calm, we slept well! The room was very clean with air conditioner, fridge and white bed linen. Excellent bathroom with good hot water pressure that is not common for Shri-Lanka. Service was brilliant, special thanks to manager Andrew who was very attentive and solved all our questions for example when we needed additional adapter he found it immediately. The tasty hearty breakfast was included into the price as well as visiting a swimming pool in the hotel nearby. The great bonus was that you could also watch the elephants’ bathing in the river. A couple who cared for the facilities prepared the most tasty rice and curry we tried in Shri-Lanka and treated us with bananas from their garden. We enjoyed our staying in this place very much! I highly recommend this place if you are going to visit Pinnawala!

Stunning and quiet property in the heart of a busy city! We were welcomed by the stuff with some drinks and everyone took a lot of care of us and our luggage. The beds were the best we had during our 2 months Sri Lanka stay 😊

We made a last-minute booking and were lucky to get the Sky Villa – a true gem and hidden treasure! The view was absolutely breathtaking, with a private jacuzzi pool and an unbeatable sense of privacy. The service was exceptional, with staff operating at the highest level of professionalism. Totally worth the price. The feeling of being on top of a giant rock is indescribable – truly unique! The room was brand new, and we learned the hotel only opened three months ago. You definitely won’t regret staying here!

I had an absoulutely beautiful experience staying at Mystay. Hosts were incredibly attentive to anything I needed, they were always available to provide great info about nearby spots and prices. While Mawanella in not a main tourist hotspot there are some gorgeous spots to explore if you like nature such as river with waterfalls, several hiking spots and trekking paths through the rainforest, it is an awesome location for nature lovers. Also, it's proximity to Kandy and Elefant sanctuary puts you in a great location to explore surrounding attractions. Hosts were always able to arrange local transport to wherever I needed to go and for amazing (local) price, can't thank them enough. Breakfast was wonderful, home made and super tasty. They also provided fruit and tea for my relaxing time, also plenty of bottled water all the time. Place is very spaceous and comfortable with garden around the house, there is also a lovely erected area, like a treehouse, for you to enjoy, that is surrounded with greenery, a great place to just relax and see some birds etc. All in all, a wonderful family that I'm happy to have met and I'm so thankful for all their help with information and transport. Hope I'll be able to stay there again sometines in the future.

Our first overnight stay in Sri Lanka and it couldn't have been better. Fantastically good home-cooked food with pleasant chats with the family. We left this hotel with a great impression. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. We were traveling with a child and lots of luggage, and they helped us store everything and checked us in earlier than expected — which was a big help! Our room was clean, spacious, with perfect air conditioning, and a balcony overlooking the river and jungle — with so many elephants in view, it was amazing! The staff also helped us arrange a trip to the nearby elephant village, which was truly unforgettable. For families with kids, I highly recommend this place. There’s a separate pool for children, and the restaurant staff were super friendly, always happy to prepare and heat up meals for our little one. Overall, we felt very well taken care of — thank you for making our stay in Pinnawala so comfortable!

Wow! The view from the lobby and the room was breathtaking. The staff was very helpful. They allowed us to charge our phones while we waited to check in early due to a sick kid. They also arranged a car for us to the train station.
