We (4 people) stayed here to have a weekend in Kumano and go to Maruyama Senmaida (Rice terraces). The house is fully equipped, very spacious and beautiful. We had breakfast in the garden and enjoyed the great location (we had a car to reach everything, but there should be some supermarkets that can be accessed by foot as well). The staff is friendly and fast to reply to questions. Great service and facilities!

Good location when walking Iseji to/from Kumanoshi. Small but clean and modern bathroom unit. Washing machine free use. Large room with two futons as in picture. Common area to relax in. Had an excellent dinner and solid breakfast. Friendly and helpful host.

The house itself is beautiful Japanese classic house, however all facilities are modern and clean!!! Down town and Hayatama shrine are located in really walkable distance from the guest house.

Location was excellent. Shared kitchen, microwave, kettle etc so you can self-cater with food from supermarket (next door). Very comfortable rooms with Japanese style bedding - new build so everything clean and modern. Hostess is lovely and communicates through a language translation app.

The owner of this Hostel Is very helpful. He offered to pick us up at the JR station as we arrived very late at Shingu. He also allowed us to leave the luggage in the hostel so that we can go hiking with the backpack only. For the room, it was very clean and tidy. In short, it was a very pleasant stay and I will recommend this place to the future travelers
