I had a truly wonderful time. The family is absolutely lovely, warm, kind, and always willing to help. The food was incredibly delicious and freshly prepared, using local ingredients, every meal felt nourishing and made with love. The location is a bit remote, but still within reasonable distance from the beach and local shops. If you're looking to immerse yourself in a peaceful, rural lifestyle and connect with the local community, this is the perfect place. It's not about luxury or modern comforts, so if you're expecting hot showers and hotel-style amenities, it may not be for you. But if you're open to something different and authentic, you’ll love it here. Overall, an unforgettable experience that gave me a genuine taste of local farming life. Highly recommended for those seeking something meaningful and off the beaten path.

The owners are just incredible people. I was here for a nearby funeral and ViVi helped me with all the cultural necessities and etiquette for the funeral. Azis is also so lovely and will bring you wherever you need. I was even invited to a local wedding! English is good and both are so welcoming. bungalows are lovely and clean, I slept well and AC is good. Wifi was touchy at the time but they were fixing it. Remember where you are - you will hear the mosques in the early morning I highly recommend you being ear buds for this reason if you are not used to it. The food is delish and I was shown around the local village. Enjoy your stay here. I will be back!

The accommodation is tastefully decorated and well finished. All the furnishings and fittings are high quality. There was attention to detail in its construction. The apartment is cosy and feels like you could be anywhere in the world. The grounds are well kept, and the location is peaceful. The staff were helpful and professional.

My stay with Ika and Egi was one of the best experiences through all my travels in Indonesia. They created a beautiful place that looks like a dream and feels like home at the same time. We spent four days with them and we talked, we cooked, we signed, we laughed and we learned a lot. My heart is so full after being with them, I can only feel grateful to had the opportunity to find this place and experience it. Tetebatu is the kind of place where you get a real taste of real people in a beautiful community that does not have a lot, but is wealthy in family, community, hard work, determination, kindness and hospitality. Our hosts went beyond to support our stay and help us navigate the place, the activities and made things so much easier. The room was great, the location was peaceful, and the young guys offering their personal scooters and helping us find places to go was fantastic. It has been the best part of my travels in Indonesia so far.
