The Mango guest house was an incredible and authentic experience in Elephantine Island. The staff, the facilities and the settings were fantastic. The staff arranged everything what we asked for: a car from Luxor, a trip to Abu Simbel, food delivery and a felucca sailing trip. It’s not for everybody, though. If you’re a 5-star hotel frequent visitor, this is not for you.

Beautiful and unique Nubian design; friendly and caring staff members; excellent cooking from the hotel kitchen and really good location close to the market for strolling and shopping. Samir the manager is absolutely exceptional that he not only helped us with organising day trips in and around Aswan, but also prepared a most memorable birthday dinner.

I liked everything. The property is clean and the beds are super comfortable. I liked the hospitality of Mr. Omar, the host. He waited for me at the ferry pier and took me to the property by private boat at his own expenses so that I would not get lost. and when we reached the property he welcomed me with a delicious mint cocktail. He did everything he could to make me feel welcomed and safe. Everything was just perfect. The location is also good, in a quiet part of Elephantine Island but at a walking distance from the public ferry (they only charge 10 Egyptian pounds one way to reach the mainland). Thank you Mr Omar from my wonderful stay!

A great laid back place to stay on the West Bank, close to the public ferry and the tombs of the nobles. The facilities are new and clean. The owners and his family are super hospitable. We also ordered lunch which was delicious. No regretting we have chosen the place and we will definitely come back.

Personnel was warm and nice Hegazy helped me all the time that I needed with taxis, boats and also he took us on the boat to visit the places near to the Nile that we wanted..I recommend this place 100%. There are also nice restaurants around ans very close to the dock.

Super friendly manager Ahmed, already ready to help, to provide us with infomation and solutions. He helped us to arrange the trip to Abu simbel , Philae temple, and taxi drivers. We arrived very late after midnight but the check in was very smooth. The house is very cute right in front of the river with beautiful views. The little Restaurant “ Nile View “ next to the house is also very pleasant.

The owner Syed was very helpful during our stay.He given us taxi in very reasonable rate and all the driver were excellent.He ensured our safety and track until we reached the hotel. Facility was excellent and staff is like a family. Beautiful location in front of Phillai temple. He given us ride to Phillai temple in his own boat. Food was excellent. Thank you Syed for your wonderful hospitality and help.We enjoyed the stay

We arrived at 2 am and our host made sure we installed ourselves in the room. Breakfast takes place at another Nubian village (transportation was included) right on the Nile, one of the best views I could have asked for. We had to meet our guide at the other side of Aswan and the port to take the local ferry is just a couple of minutes away. Habibs place (and also his sister property) were amazing.
