This is definitely the place I can say I would like to come back or would have liked to stay longer. The accommodation is cosy surrounded by beautiful gardens. Breakfast tastes like home and is delicious! Leo, host of the place as its said in Spanish “Buena gente”, you can tell its such a good person that makes this place even more home like. Great view for the volcano when the weather is nice. The garden is amazing with beautiful flowers and birds. Well equipped, cozy room, hotel stuff was really friendly, the pool was nice. The breakfast was okay, not really special. It is close to the center of the town, many restaurants are nearby.

The apartments are lovely and of a high standard. Spacious, with beautiful detail and views. Watching the hummingbirds and the other birds was a delight. The grounds are lovely. The location is close to the road to the waterfall and so out of the hustle and bustle. Everything was perfect. Thank you. This place is a little gem and very good value.

We really enjoyed our stay at Arenal Descanso. The family hosting us was very nice and helpful and the breakfast was great. Especially, the Gallo pinto :) we loved to sit in the pretty garden watching the birds for the breakfast. Closeby are many restaurants and a river where you can swing into the water using a rope. It's fun!
