The host kindly made us an amazing authentic Costa Rican breakfast and bravely held engaging conversations with us even though we didn't speak Spanish fluently. Cute, well appointed, brand new cabins as of 2022. Remote, but well stocked with electric hot plate and pot, coffee and coffee maker, and mini fridge. And a nice little pool! Definitely don't recommend driving through Hojancha unless you're up for a fairly bumpy/off-road experience. Instead, go through Santa Rita - same amount of time from Nicoya, but way smoother!

A good location for a hassle-free holiday in Nandayure, Hotel y restaurante Maktub is a campground surrounded by views of the garden.

Private cabin, parking, hot water for shower, full kitchen and AC was on point ❣️ We LOVED that it had a washer in the cabin and the WiFi was so fast. Also the satellite had English Channels with HBO, etc. The view was gorgeous, near shopping centers for groceries, perfect location. We loved it and Karolina was a fabulous host. Definitely we will be back and recommend this gem. Thank You 😊

Fresh homemade excelent breakfast. Jam, bread, yoghurt, etc all made by the hosts in the morning and tasted wonderful. We were lucky and got to have Marcos homemade dinner which was a delightful experience. Wonderful inviting hosts. We really enjoyed our stay and hope we will be back some day!

This location is unique, a 7 km gravel trip up through the mountains near Nicoya. The views to the ocean and mountains spectacular. The sunset unforgettable. Perfect service, cocktails, restaurant, all perfect. Chris and his colleagues were communicative, friendly and told lots of interesting stories. I will never forget my stay here, not like any other place. Truly a holy mountain.

Welcoming and friendly staff who cooked breakfast and dinner as we like it. The secluded location off the beaten track. As we were early in the season, we had the whole resort for ourselves (the staff left during the day and the night, which felt a bit strange during the first night as we wondered whether we were safe).
