Cute, well appointed, brand new cabins as of 2022. Remote, but well stocked with electric hot plate and pot, coffee and coffee maker, and mini fridge. And a nice little pool! Definitely don't recommend driving through Hojancha unless you're up for a fairly bumpy/off-road experience. Instead, go through Santa Rita - same amount of time from Nicoya, but way smoother!

A good location for a hassle-free holiday in Nandayure, Hotel y restaurante Maktub is a campground surrounded by views of the garden.

Private cabin, parking, hot water for shower, full kitchen and AC was on point ❣️ We LOVED that it had a washer in the cabin and the WiFi was so fast. Also the satellite had English Channels with HBO, etc. The view was gorgeous, near shopping centers for groceries, perfect location. We loved it and Karolina was a fabulous host. This location is unique, a 7 km gravel trip up through the mountains near Nicoya. The views to the ocean and mountains spectacular. The sunset unforgettable. Perfect service, cocktails, restaurant, all perfect. Chris and his colleagues were communicative, friendly and told lots of interesting stories. I will never forget my stay here, not like any other place. Truly a holy mountain.

This is indeed a hidden gem in Costa Rica. It is a place to rest and disconnect from the rest of the world. The owner and crew are super amazing and very friendly. The breakfast is delicious, it is hand-made and has several options. For lunch and dinner, you can prepare your own food. There is a grocery store 10 min away from the property by car. The property has all kitchen utensils you would need for cooking. There are restaurants around the zone as well. We had the chance of seeing little turtles and an unthinkable and awesome sunset while raining. This was not planned but it might common in that zone.
