From the minute we stepped off the bus from Gstaad (which stops at the front door of Panorama B&B) it was obvious this place is special. Lauenen itself is a picture perfect alpine village where you feel as though you've stepped into a Christmas card. The B&B Panorama has the most spectacular views imaginable - snow capped mountains flanked by pines dripping with snow, with beautiful ancient wooden chalets and twinkling lights in the foreground. Karen the host was incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. Great, filling, locally-sourced breakfast. Beautiful, warm, well-appointed room with a balcony overlooking alpine splendour. We visited for winter hiking and the trails around Lauenen must be some of the best in Switzerland. We were truly blown away by our short stay - just wish we were still there!

The authenticity of this chalet was amazing. It’s was warm and cosy and had amazing views; I was lucky enough to watch the sunrise above the mountains and it was magical! I didn’t bring the correct plug adaptor or phone charger but the hosts were so accommodating they were able to provide both. One night wasn’t long enough.

Quite simply, our best ever hotel experience! This is a wonderful hotel made so by the delightful team of friendly and caring people who made us feel so welcome. There are so many positives, including the breathtaking menus at breakfast, lunch and dinner, not forgetting the delicious afternoon cakes! The spa is superb and the unexpected bonus of free local rail travel capped off a wonderful week.

A serene place, scenic valley with mountain views all around, motorable until the house with ample free parking space. Train station Gstaad is 1.1 km. 2 clean and comfortable bedrooms with adequate kitchen facilities, private bathroom. Small beautiful garden with green valley views with yellow flowers through the windows. 5-10 min drive to DDLJ spots in Saanen (4 km). 5-10 min drive to Indian restaurant and Panaromic View train stations. One can also get a direct bus to cable car spot at Glacier 3000 (Les Diablerets) from the same station. Early morning walk with sunrise view, chirping of birds and continuous tinkling of cow bells in background. Very friendly hosts who took care of all needs and explained the facilities well. Also gave us idea about surrounding tourist places. Worth mentioning cute pets (a dog and a cat) who welcomed us and accompanied during walks as if they know us from ages :) Overall wonderful stay.

    The staff, location and facilities were perfect for us: neat to town but quiet, and VERY friendly and competent staff. We had a very generous room with a large balcony, seating area and bathroom, with a view to the mountains. Also, free parking in fromt of the hotel!

    The room was absolutely beautiful decorated, spacious, very clean with everything we need. Also had coffee machine. Nice balcony . The dinner at the restaurant was more than delicious. The staff was friendly and very helpful, gave us useful information about the area. Breakfast was very good. Free parking. The location is beautiful only 1km from the center of Gstaad. We were sorry we had little time but we certainly will be back soon.
