The amazing view from the room window, the service, the design of the hotel, the food (It's actually dinner served in the lounge), and of course the wonderful onsen. The price was relatively reasonable.

Located on a hilltop and overlooking Lake Kawaguchi, the hotel serves French dinner with an advance reservation. The best hotel during our whole trip in Japan! Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. It features traditional Japanese cuisine served in the dining area, suites with in-room hot springs and a garden. Everything, from the front desk, staff, facilities in general, the upgrade room to president room and so on, also I would like to highlight here the special attention from Veronica, who took care the services in our breakfast and dinner, she was amazing!! Very polite and courteous with us.
Oshino
八海 木花館 features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Oshino, 10 km from Fuji-Q Highland. There is a private entrance at the ryokan for the convenience of those who stay. Every room comes with a balcony with garden views. I can’t even believe this place. Room is good for 4 people. You basically have a house to yourself. There is a private onsen with Fuji views. The views of Fuji in my living room and dining room are crazy too — amazing!! Also, everything is very well thought-out!! Omakase dinner and breakfast are chef’s kiss ✨ Staff is super helpful — they even helped map out my route from the ryokan to Osaka. The floors are heated — the water is never cold (I went in winter). You even have a little garden to yourself with a table and chairs outside so you can look at Fuji while drinking tea. But I would recommend that in Spring lol as it’s super cold in winter outside.

I booked this hotel for my brother's birthday and the staff made this honestly a stay to remember. We used the bikes and went on a bike ride and we had an onsen in our room which was great as my brother has tattoos. The view from our room was beautiful! On the night of our meal our waitress asked to take a picture of us which she then had printed and framed and put on our table for breakfast which was such a lovely memorable touch!

With an open-air bath, the 3-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. My mum and I stayed for two nights in this hotel and it was a wonderful stay. As we got off the bus the wonderful owner came and greeted us and welcomed us with tea and check in instructions. We were fortunate enough to have clear sky and the reflection on the lake of Fuji San is incredible. The room had the most amazing view of Fuji San, space, comfort and amenities. The lake location has two small cafe/restaurants that we visited. We also had one dinner in the common area, as the restaurants close early, again with an amazing view. They also sell drinks and snacks/ramen in reception too. The onsens are open until late and are very wonderful. A gorgeous panoramic 1 hour hike can be found 5 minutes walk from the hotel. All in all the stay was very lovely, the most memorable take away has to be the kind staff who were lovely to chat too, attentive and kind. The owner, a wonderful man who made us feel most welcome in his hotel. Would love to visit again.

The hotel provides full Japanese ryokan experience! The view on both sides (lake or Mt. Fuji) is breathtaking. It is a good getaway place from Tokyo for 1-2 nights. The hotel provides the option to book for 1 hour a family/private onsen room with views on Mt. Fuji, this is an experience I will not forget.
This luxurious Ryokan was the perfect getaway from busy Tokyo and an excellent spa-retreat after a long hike in one. The staff spoke good English and was very helpful. We would highly recommend booking a private dinner in your room for at least one night where you'll get overwhelmed by the enormous diversity of the Japanese cuisine. We booked a private Onsen for 1 hour where we could catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji, but the public Onsen and rooftop footbath are already well worth this Ryokan experience.
Very good location. Extremely welcoming staff. Good room size. Nice hot spring Onsen.
In hotel hot springs(Onsen) with Mt Fiji view, electric bikes, pretty common areas. Very friendly and pleasant staff.
Reasonable prices, pleasant scenery, delicious breakfast, relaxing authentic Japanese hot springs, and friendly service.
We showed up a bit early and the staff still accommodated us. Thank you so much for that! The ryokan must have been recently renovated as it is very modern yet still keeps the traditional feel. I felt like I was in a luxury spa. Exceptionally clean as well. The private onsen was our favourite part and was 1000% worth the extra price.
Excellent breakfast with a view to Mt. Fuji 🤗 Excellent kaiseki dinner impressed so much! Onsen hot spring bathing facilities very good! Room size is excellent with a resting corner and with a view to Mt. Fuji. Yukata was so nice to wear.
-Located next to Lake Kawaguchiko, if the sky is clear, you can see Mount Fuji from your room or in front of the Ryokan -Staffs are very very friendly, attentive and speaks fluent English -Room size is great and Futon is very comfortable -Free Parking lot -There are onsen (hot spring) provided in the ryokan (Gender separated) -Breakfast comes with a Japanese set, very delicious and beautiful presentation
An incredible ryokan experience, highly recommend. Great location next to Fuji scenic ropeway and on the lakeshore. Our room had a beatiful view of mt fuji too. Staff were excellent, parking easy, entire property very clean and well kept. Dinner served in your room is an experience in itself, and of the ryokans we visited it was easily the tastiest one. There is a private onsen o wth a very nice view over the lake.
Being that this is my first time staying at a ryokan, this one exceeded my expectations. The rooms were very clean and cozy, having a private onsen just outside of the room is the main highlight of the stay. The onsen is right outside on the deck with trees surrounding it, it creates a soothing and tranquil experience. We arranged a pick-up from Kawaguchiko station, the staff are amazing and friendly, communication wasn't a problem as some of them are fluent in English.
