We participated in a nice star gazing tour and did a great hike to the marshland (about 12 km, 4 hours there and back). We strongly recommend to come for more than one night, as travel there takes almost a day.

We had an incredible stay at this authentic ryokan, walking distance from the Toshogu shrine and museum complex. We are both vegetarian and the staff were extremely accommodating, providing an amazing meal full of local specialties. The private onsen is a great way to unwind at the end of the day. This was an authentic, but luxurious stay.

A 40-minute drive brings guests to historical theme park Nikko Edomura. This was a delightful small family hotel . Loved the private onsen . The room was extremely comfortable. The staff was amazing . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay .
