The onsen is great, the rooms are decent size (for Japan) and the service is friendly and helpful. Lovely amenities too both at the onsen and in room. No shoes allowed in the hotel which adds to the cleanliness. Socks are supplied as are pajamas which everyone wears so you feel very much like you're part of the hotel community. Lots of free stuff thrown in like late night ramen, ice lollies, washing machines, massage chairs. Breakfast is amazing - huge selection of Japanese breakfast options to choose from and nothing ever runs out. Luggage transport service was also taken care of - my bag was waiting for me when I checked in. Loved this hotel.

The hotel is big and spacious. The room was also a good size for Japan.

It was one of the best experience in japan. The design, hot spring all facilities were fantastic😊

There are 2 indoor hot springs baths and an open-air bath at the property. Super clean，the staffs are friendly. The private onsen is extremely good！I like their bedding，very warm and comfortable. 1 min walking from the Yunomine Onsen bus station. I like it very much

The 20 rooms at Arima Onsen Tosen Goshobo include tatami (woven-straw) floors and shoji paper screens. Guests can relax at the seating area and enjoy the zen atmosphere with a cup of green tea. Bathing facilities are shared. Arima Onsen is close to Kobe, but has a nice countryside feel about it. Our room was much larger than expected, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the onsen was very good, with the famous Arima golden water (salty and with high iron content). A nice detail in the onsen was that the gender seperating wall was lower at the end, enabling a conversation with my wife. The food was also very good, we stayed 2 nights and had 1 night dinner and breakfast in our room (for an extra charge). The ryokan also offers a free shuttle to the Arima Ropeway and to the railway station. The salon was also nice with free coffee and lots of books and a high-end tube amplifier. The building is wooden and old, so expect to hear some noise from your neighbours, but nothing too bad.

It is very peaceful and a nice 15 minute walk to many restaurants and beach. The staff made us feel so welcome. The bakery is top notch. I have had very delicious baked goods in multiple European countries, and this is right up there. We thought at first the mattress was a little firm(this seems standard in Japan), but ended up sleeping well.
