One of the highlights for me at the Hotel was the lounge on the 8th floor it was excellent, the food the beverage and the actual lounge itself was fantastic.The staff made you so welcome, I would like to mention Lisa and Rose who were both excellent with myself and my friends in the lounge, for sure I will visit Marco Polo Xaimen again. Everything was excellent from check in to departure the rooms were just like home. Also the guys working in the Lobby bar excellent service. Again a special mention for Lisa and Rose in the Lounge two employees with good communication and hospitality skills.

The peaceful atmosphere makes it the perfect retreat, blending history with contemporary comfort. Special thanks to September (九月) for her exceptional and attentive service—she made our stay truly memorable and make up the extra points for whatever is lacking to win my 5 star rating. Breakfast top up is worth it for the convenience and comfort, not a huge spread, however expect quality homely breakfast with food like soya bean milk, roasted sweet potatoes, I like their German ham. In short, Highly recommended for anyone seeking a unique, out of the beaten track and tranquil experience in Xiamen! They are new on booking.com , hence you will not get much review. These guys will do well once it gets popular, so do go before it gets way too crowded.

The staff there was polite and helpful. What I don't like is how booking.com arrangement. When I arrived , I was informed my booking wasn't in thier system. I was damn tired and have to wait until they arrange the room for me. I was checked in to the room and they verified my card while they checking my reservation with booking.com I was so shocked when my bill turn out RM965.80 instead of RM804 as I book earlier with booking.com If your portal unable to handle my booking , please inform me before I took the hassle take a taxi to the hotel. I am really disappointed with what was happened. Just felt been cheated by booking.com

Breakfast was great. Coffee needed to be more easily accessible. I had to ask for a cup. Why not have self-service coffee? Rooms was nice. I liked the location, next to the beach and running path. Really nice.

The views of Haicang Bay and Xiamen island from a sea view room are great. Even in overcast weather, the views are atmospheric. The bed was very comfortable, as were the red chairs and the shower. My room was spotless. I had no problems checking in and checking out - the staff were both efficient and polite.
