His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care made a big difference. Furthermore, he arranges Sri Lankan cooking lessons for foreign guests, which is a wonderful initiative to share our food and culture with the world. What impressed us most is that all of this is offered at an affordable price, and the team works tirelessly 24/7 to give their very best to guests. Overall, Rock Shade Chalet is a perfect place for a peaceful family getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

An Asian breakfast is available at the lodge. Sadeepa was very helpful and gave us a lot of information and Tips for our stay in Sigiriya. The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The whole family is super kind and friendly! They even brought us to the bus station for free and we got our breakfast for take away because we had to leave early! I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice place, very clean, with a beautiful garden (we even saw a wild peacock inside!) and views to Lion's rock. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the breakfasts were delicious. We would repeat!

Very nice place, outside the center (aprox 30 minutes walking) but 1 minute away from the main road where u can take the bus to the center. The family is super sweet and try to help as much as possible. Great breakfast 😊🙏

Pool is glorious after walking up a 1000 steps too.

But above all it was Anil and his lovely family that made our stay perfect. Incredibly kind and helpful with planning our trips and driving us everywhere by tuktuk. Be sure to have dinner at the lodge at least once during your stay, it was the best!

A patio with mountain views is offered in all units. We slept in the newest house. It was beautiful, clean and spacious. Unfortunately we could not have breakfast outside due to bad weather so it was in the open kitchen of the owner. The owner is very sweet, helpful and the food is fantastic.
