It was the most wonderful place, a very special place, very calm, it felt very personal and exclusive The rooms were much more than just a room, having your own front door straight into the garden and pool area, they were incredibly clean and the bathroom is such a treat, it really connects you to the nature all around, absolutely fantastic and super clean also, great shower, very comfy large bed. The staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble and the food is fabulous, as in the rest of Sri Lanka and indeed anywhere, the local Sri lankan dishes were definitely the best and I would suggest people choose these, taste and presentation was superb. We would definitely love to come back

Simple yet delicious Sri Lankan food is available nearby. The room doesn’t feel hot, so there’s no need for air conditioning. I didn’t even use the fan. It’s a perfect place to relax and recharge after exploring the mountains and local sights. Getting to the center of Kandy is easy: take a tuk-tuk or hop on a local bus, which runs frequently. The host is an incredibly kind, hospitable, and responsive person, always ready to assist with anything you need. You can tell he truly loves what he does. He also has a wonderful dog, which makes the place feel even more welcoming. A pleasant surprise for me was that they sort waste here, which is rare to see. For just $13 a night, you won’t find a better place to stay in Kandy!

La habitación era muy amplia, limpia y cómoda, disponía de aire acondicionado, secador de pelo y nevera Se puede comer y cenar allí, está todo INCREIBLE, hecho en el momento.

Amazing place almost in the jungle. You have all the privacy you can wish for and apart from the sounds of the jungle 😉 it is very peaceful. Lots of wild animals around. Mosquito net. Fantastic host and very tasty breakfast. The place is clean and there is a warm shower in the bathroom. The location is very convinient and you can have a nice walk to The Lion Rock from there. The recommended restaurant was also very good. We would definitely recommend staying there!

La comida estaba buenísima y muy copiosa. La mamá se encarga de cocinar puras delicias. La habitacion supercomoda, limpia, cama king size, aire acondicionado y ventanal, con terracita que da a un jardín tropical muy cuidado. Una gran experiencia, por todo ello, podemos asegurar que si algún día volvemos de España a Habarana, estaremos encantados de repetir alojamiento en Manike Lodge.
