Convenient location right next to the ski lift. The hotel owner is an incredible woman—she helped with any questions and even picked me up and dropped me off at the train station. Taka, Seiko and their friend Danny made our stay fantastic. Taka was very helpful with resort information and went beyond by picking us up and dropping us to the station. Seiko and Danny did a great job with breakfast, especially with the homemade baking. The drying room was great and the onsen was a great addition after a day on the slopes. We will definitely be back!

The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.

Private Onsen, beautifully built. Onsen time scheduled for 45 minutes so everyone can get his turn without stress. Multi Onsen booking possible. The owners (a very nice couple) deserve the title of „best hosts ever“. They printed out train schedules and circled the trains we had to catch, they helped us plan a daytrip, they drove us to the next hotel, so we didn’t have to get a cab. If I could, I would even give additional stars for this pension. I will certainly return.

A 10 minutos a pie de Happo One Ski Resort, los huéspedes del Log Cottage Epoch pueden alquilar una casa entera. We loved the cottage and the sleeping floor. The kitchen was well equipped and the living room was very comfortable. The area was quiet and the staff extra nice! Playground area for children was very much appreciated by our daughter as well as the super mini train experience!

Overall the place exceeded our expectations. The whole place is spotless and our room is huge and very clean :) What made this place the best among the places we stayed in Japan is "Kiko". He is the caretaker of the place and he made sure that we are taken care of. From making our breakfast every morning and made sure the place are very clean and amazing. There is also a private onsen in which you can enjoy by yourself :) I would highly recommend this place and would stay there again if I return in Hakuba. The only downside is the distance of the bus stop which is around 15-20 mins walk, but Kiko again save us by driving us around. 11/10
