HungaryWestlodge in Graskop was by far my favorite guesthouse on my 35-day trip in South Africa. The room is very comfortable, it has excellent wifi (which was important for me as I need to work), strong shower, heating. The breakfast is not only tasty, but wonderfully presented, you can see the chef loves his work. There is secure parking and a wonderful courtyard full of plants! The best of all is the wonderful hospitality of the owner and everybody working there. It is a great stop to break the journey between Johannesburg and Krüger and also serves as a practical base to discover the Panorama Route. Graskop is a lovely and safe little town with a large supermarket and a number of local craft shops (I did all my souvenir shopping there).

We had such a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back. Evar, Luna and Bella the dogs were an absolute highlight! Evar even walked us to the Lisbon falls and Charl gave us a tour of the property and was a great host. The accommodation itself was comfortable and had everything we needed.

The hospitality was excellent. I even came back with free charcoal and spinach!
The location was perfect. I loved the fact that it is secluded, peaceful and like a village. Also, Lisbon Falls is a mere kilometre away and all the other interesting places I wanted to see were easily accessible

Booked because of my friends recommendation, nearly everything was perfect. Especially the beds, which are not so hard as in other accomodations. Very flexible host. Not far to Berlin and Lisbon falls

Although we didn‘t let Charl know up until an hour before our arrival, what time he could expect us, we were awaited with a warm welcome. We loved the tranquility right next to the river, yet so close to all the sights on the Panorama route and only a 5 min. drive to Graskop. We really enjoyed our morning walk to Lisbon Falls. The cabins are cozy and clean and we loved the fact that every thing is powered by sustainable energy. Thank you very much.

Beautiful location along the Lisbon River. It is a quiet place, in hilly nature with pretty views. Very friendly host, really takes the time. We can recommend to take a hike to the Lisbon falls, very pretty view. No wifi, so you can have a better connection with nature 😃.

Place was clean and very comfortable, friendly staff. The location was very central to all the attractions, Graskop Gorge, God's window, lisbon falls, Berlin falls. Bourkes luck potholes, Blyde river canyon, 3 Rondawels. We visited Pilgrims Rest on our way out of Graskop. Harry's pancakes was lovely. We took walks at night, that's how safe it is in Graskop. We enjoyed our swim at the accommodation pool.

We really enjoyed the location of the lodge, at 1-km distance from Lisbon Falls (reachable on foot, following a trail during 15 min), in the countryside, very quiet. the garden of the lodge was nice, full of birds, but partly burnt a few days before (probably helping to be nicer in summer then). The chalet and furnitures were nice and confortable. the owner was very friendly and happy to show us his farm and sheep.

We had a great time. The tent was beautiful. I love that the place is centrally located to all amenities and town is just two minutes away. God's window, Berlin falls, Lisbon falls and pinacle rock are just less than 15 minutes away. Drive to Kruger National Park Phabeni gate is 49 minutes away from the priperty
