An attractive country town nestling in the Langeberg mountains. A Spar and other shops are there and fuel available. The Cape Dry dried fruit activity is in the town. The locals were friendly and the town is great for walking.
The locals were friendly and the town is great for walking. The CAPEDRY is an absolute must for dried fruit to meat. I would like to spend more time exploring the area. The accomodation was neat and clean. The Unit 116 is in dire need for refurbushment .Not a single cabinet or wardrobe door not loose or ascew .. Bedroompedastals from the 80s scew and leaning backwords . (all 3) Aicon well it makes a sound. it doesent seem to be working at all . Didnt trust the safe .scew door no batteries in. Staff were professional, friendly and helpful. We had a lovely Victorian room with high ceilings and a large en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and excellent hot water pressure. It was cold in August and the hotel has several wood-burners making all the public areas warm and cosy. Breakfast was a generous buffet. It really is the perfect spot to get away from everything. Amazing hiking trails close by and a swimming pool to cool off afterwards. Also, the way access to the hot pools was controlled by security, for those who were not residents at Avalon Springs - that was admirable.
