Nice to see but 30 euro is really too much for seing a few stones. Not much left of this area, like most temples of ancient Greece. We were a bit dissapointed. Greeks build an immage on the old history. A lot more labour of reconstruction could be done by escavating areas and putting the pieces together to look more like the original. Go before sunset to the 6-7.30pm time slot and watch the sun go down. September is the perfect month. Wear non slip shoes. You can buy e-tickets at the bottom. If you travel on the train, take the Acropolis station. Shorter walk from there. Take water with you. Take lots of photos. This attraction is one of our world’s wonders not to be missed!! It did have a couple of broken items like the toilet seat when we arrived. Key things to be aware of it is up a flight of stairs with no lift so you have to be 'able' to get bags up winding stairs. It is above a bakery and down from the acropolis and restaurants. Totally safe to walk at night and a good location. Breakfast was across the road at the actual hotel. If you want to avoid crowds while seeing the famous sights, start out early and be at the sights when they open. I arrived at the Acropolis around 8:10 AM and there were only around 20 people on the whole compound. It was wonderful! Consider visiting Athens in May or September. May is just lovely. Spring flowers like poppies and daisies cover the hills. It's not too busy and not too hot. Remember that on holidays you are always moving so consider the weather when you make your plans.
